Guest Kong76 Guests Posted May 2, 2010 Posted May 2, 2010 I wonder what the record is for runs scored with two outsand/or how many batters get up with two outs is.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted May 2, 2010 Posted May 2, 2010 This strand-rate is correcting a bit hard, isn't it?
Piggiestomatoes Old-Timey Member Posted May 2, 2010 Posted May 2, 2010 What are the odds of a 1-2-3 top of the 5th?
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted May 2, 2010 Posted May 2, 2010 Who you blame (besides Santana)?__ Rod Barajas, for making a stupid play and turning the mojo around.__ Fernando Tatis, for being in the lineup and making it seem like 2009.__ Jerry, for having so much faith in Johan that he left the guy hanging by himself.__ Warthan, for having so much faith in Johan that he left the guy hanging by himself.__ Kevin Deutch, for presenting before God and all people an image of the Metfan unworthy of any joy?

Piggiestomatoes Old-Timey Member Posted May 2, 2010 Posted May 2, 2010 6 pitch 1-2-3 inning for the 47 year-old marvel! Seems like 2009 all over again.

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 2, 2010 Posted May 2, 2010 I think we should just ban 4th innings. They've been our undoing this weekend.

But Johan's been thwomped twice in five starts, and tiptoed around a LOT of runners in two others of those starts. I really don't want to think about why-- that's whence my real agita comes. Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted May 2, 2010 Posted May 2, 2010 That's a fair point. That sound you're hearing is the Jerry Watch re-assembling.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 2, 2010 Posted May 2, 2010 ESPN used to only do that annoying crawl thing at the top and bottom of the hour - for maybe 7 or 8 minutes total - while saving the constant crawl for whatever lesser event they were showing on ESPN2 and the addicted gamblers who watch such stuff. Now they've either decided that everyone is an addicted gambler or that we've all got such short attention spans that a baseball game can't hold our interest unless we're simultaneously reading about who won the golf match on the Japanese tour or what Brett Favre had for breakfast because it's full-time on the main channel now.

Ceetar Grand Central Contributor Posted May 2, 2010 Posted May 2, 2010 Can I just blame everyone? sickening.I've been saying all along that Warthen always seems to go out a batter too late. (in this case, not at all)Santana sucked, but why? The warning sign to me was walking Castro. Make all the "pitching around" comments you will, but that's not really Santana's style, walking the 8th guy to get to the pitcher (and he's been bad against pitchers in general). Would Warthen coming out, talking to Santana, calming in down (telling him to trust Barajas' calls?), focusing on exactly what to throw at Moyer, gotten him out of the inning?
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted May 2, 2010 Posted May 2, 2010 Just taking a few steps toward coming back would mean a lot to me.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted May 2, 2010 Posted May 2, 2010 Nothing. They're staggering on their feet. Howie is comparing them to George Foreman after Ali came off the ropes to counterpunch him senseless.
