Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted April 18, 2010 Posted April 18, 2010 Yadier Molina actually steps out and kisses his necklace before every pitch. Seriously. I knew I hated the guy but wow.[/quote:2w0o7yq5]In said necklace: a tiny bit of powdered Heilman testicle. Y'know, as a souvenir.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 18, 2010 Posted April 18, 2010 That Sharp commercial with Sulu gaying it up never ceases to make me giggle.OH MY!
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted April 18, 2010 Posted April 18, 2010 Jerry finds the most creative ways to "save" his bullpen arms.
Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted April 18, 2010 Posted April 18, 2010 Stoner would get tagged with the loss, too. Right?

Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 18, 2010 Posted April 18, 2010 Overmanaging. Why take out Feliciano after he gets his first guy out? Dumb.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted April 18, 2010 Posted April 18, 2010 Real dumb.We need a runner and a Bay PH HR.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted April 18, 2010 Posted April 18, 2010 I didn;t realize Bay was ever in. Well at least they didn't suffer long.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted April 18, 2010 Posted April 18, 2010 The goal was one game of three, right?
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 18, 2010 Posted April 18, 2010 I hate Adam Wainwright, the Cardinals, and people who wear red shirts.

Well at least they didn't suffer long.[/quote:2twqy2tg]I thought that was the whole idea of the Igarashi move there-- the double-switch to make sure the pitcher's slot didn't come up in the ninth. And yeah, I realize how stupid that sounds. But... well... it's like guessing to where your slow beagle wandered off-- you have to think like a slow beagle.
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted April 18, 2010 Posted April 18, 2010 Well, at least Omar is satisfied with this series.
batmagadanleadoff Old-Timey Member Posted April 18, 2010 Posted April 18, 2010 Well ... this is a crappy team as currently constituted, without Reyes and Beltran. And to the extent that Reyes is back, he's back only in the technical sense. The Mets need Reyes and Beltran back and playing like All-Stars.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted April 18, 2010 Posted April 18, 2010 Let's get on Omar for his deeds, but we don't have to be the forum that deliberately interprets his remarks verbatim. We all know what he didn't mean.

The team's slow start and Manuel's hard to comprehend managerial moves aren't helping my increasingly lackadaisical mood regarding the Mets.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted April 18, 2010 Posted April 18, 2010 Regarding Jerry Manual I believe the clock is ticking and he cannot be saved. it is what it is.
batmagadanleadoff Old-Timey Member Posted April 18, 2010 Posted April 18, 2010 We're two games behind the Nationals and Strasburg hasn't even been promoted to the Majors yet.
soupcan Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2010 Posted April 19, 2010 That game sucked.Once Maine had 2,000 pitches by the 3rd inning you knew they were toast. As bad as the Mets are looking early on, the Cardinals sure as hell didn't impress me I'll tell you that.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted April 19, 2010 Posted April 19, 2010 Yeah, Soupy, I agree. In fact, and maybe this is encouraging from the right perspective, I haven't been impressed with the opposition in any of the four series the Mets have played so far. They all look like shit, the Mets included.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2010 Posted April 19, 2010 Yep , Mets could have won two games here , maybe even three....we've seen some terrible baseball so far.
