Getting Ready For the Game

Many Mets fans are getting ready in case tonight's game goes extra innings and we have to listen to Morgan and Miller.
They're putting Dr. Kavorkian's number in their speed dial.

I car hear it now:
Joe Morgan: "Subtle racist dig mixed with Jeter ball washing, despite Jeter not being on the field tonight.

Jon Miller: "Last night's game reminded me of the San Francisco pitching staff"

Joe Morgan: "I was in the Hall of Fame you know. To me, a pitcher needs to win games. That's why he's called a pitcher."

Jon Miller: "There it goes, deep to left field. I just had a Barry Bonds Flashback. "

Joe Morgan: "Jackie Robinson"

Jon Miller: "One day Bonds will be in the Hall with Robinson."

And McCarver may mess up facts and names and be generally terrible, but he doesn't tell endless stories about the moral superiority of the Big Red Machine. Also, he generally doesn't outright lie.

Really, though, asking me which of these two teams I'd rather have calling the game is like asking me if I'd prefer to be gutshot with the silver bullet or the copper. The pain's pretty much the same.
