Ceetar Grand Central Contributor Posted April 8, 2010 Posted April 8, 2010 That's a better lineup.[/quote:2bklcfog]Well, not by a ton. Tatis doesn't strike out as much but he makes more outs per plate apperance. And who knows if Tejada can hit. It's better constructed though.

Guest attgig Guests Posted April 8, 2010 Posted April 8, 2010 at first, i thought it was a lot better lineup, till i realized that 3-8 were all rightys. i guess it makes sense with a starting LHP, but once the bullpen gets in the game, I'm guessing Jerry empties the bench of the lefty batters.
Guest Swan Swan H Guests Posted April 8, 2010 Posted April 8, 2010 Enough about lineups. Our worst guy with a raging case of the Guadelajara monster-squirts is better than their best guy on his best day after a handful of those little black capsules I found in Lenny Dykstra's old foot locker. We fear nothing, but are a little squeamish around hairy bugs and shirtless guys asking us to hit them in the stomach with a bat. Play time is over. Play ball!
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted April 8, 2010 Posted April 8, 2010 The Marlins looked so comfortable hanging on the inside portion of the plate, it was like they were planning to stay overnight. I wouldn't mind a little chin music from Niese to start things off. (It would also buy him a little inside-corner/outside-corner room to sneak his curve in for Ks.)
Guest attgig Guests Posted April 8, 2010 Posted April 8, 2010 turning on the game a little late. what have I missed?
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted April 8, 2010 Posted April 8, 2010 Just getting there now, and the Fish defense immediately introduces itself.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted April 8, 2010 Posted April 8, 2010 Deflected-ball singles and such got the Fish their run. Robertson and Niese have been more or less cruising-- with Niese putting out 2 fires not entirely of his own making-- since.
Guest attgig Guests Posted April 8, 2010 Posted April 8, 2010 yeah frenchy!love seeing the 3rd base coach falling down waving in bay
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted April 8, 2010 Posted April 8, 2010 Nate Robertson, you are not as impressive as you've seemed tonight, AND...YA BEEN FRENCHED!
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted April 8, 2010 Posted April 8, 2010 Hit-and-run double, French-style, and theMets have tied it.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted April 8, 2010 Posted April 8, 2010 So was that He-Fairy interfering with the ball?
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted April 8, 2010 Posted April 8, 2010 Could Beltran have gotten to that baby? Will he ever again be able to get to one of those?
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted April 8, 2010 Posted April 8, 2010 That's when you slide into first. Nice wheels Castillo.Bat him leadoff.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted April 8, 2010 Posted April 8, 2010 Note to self: Gaby Sanchez can hit the other way.Three-one, Fishies.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 8, 2010 Posted April 8, 2010 Wow, light on the IGT participation! I just got the kids to bed. There's hope, Nunez is warming up for the 9th.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted April 8, 2010 Posted April 8, 2010 Fuckin' Gaby Sanchez with the 11-pitch walk.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 8, 2010 Posted April 8, 2010 Stay tuned after the game for the "Smarmy Fuck" show, staring DJ Chunky and Boat-Killer.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 8, 2010 Posted April 8, 2010 Jerry playing the matchups, gives Nieve the yank after 2 pitches and 1 out. Whatever.I blame Tony LaRussa for all this bullpen overmanagement bull-SHEET.

Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 8, 2010 Posted April 8, 2010 Blech. And that's that then.Go away, Marlins. Get outta my fuckin house.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted April 8, 2010 Posted April 8, 2010 Nice change by Nuez.Too bad we couldn't face the same bullpen as last night. Who were those guys? Let's play them again.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted April 8, 2010 Posted April 8, 2010 This Mets team looks very similar to last years. The design of the dimensions and wall height for citifield had to be done by the mad hatter or some stupid shit. I hate this fucking stadium. So there..
