Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted April 1, 2010 Posted April 1, 2010 The Minnesota-New York exhibition yesterday seemed an ordinary spring training game, until Twinkies CF Denard Span hit a screamer foul off MFY starter Phil Hughes into the stands. In a strange twist, the ball angled for-- and hit square in the torso-- a woman wearing a Denard Span jersey. What kind of woman wears a Denard Span jersey to a ST game... in Steinbrenner Field, no less?Denard Span's mother, Wanda Wilson. (She's okay- T & R at the stadium.)

It looked to me that he ran over there so fast he was trying to beat the ball to his mom.Later

Guest themetfairy Guests Posted April 1, 2010 Posted April 1, 2010 When I saw the clip I told D-Dad that Span owes his mom a really great Mother's Day gift.
