Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted September 20, 2010 Posted September 20, 2010 Voting for the September 15 and September 16 games against the Pirates will close on Tuesday afternoon.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted September 21, 2010 Posted September 21, 2010 Despite very low vote counts (especially for Sunday's game, where only three people have participated) voting for the games played against Atlanta on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday will all close on Wednesday morning. The end is near... let's see if we can see this thing through for just another couple of weeks.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted September 23, 2010 Posted September 23, 2010 We continue to pathetically stagger towards the finish line. Only the three most faithful voters (me, G-Fafif*, and metfairy*) have voted for Tuesday's loss to the Marlins, which will close tomorrow morning.*Thanks for hanging in there guys. If not for you two, I'd feel really silly sticking with this!

Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted September 23, 2010 Posted September 23, 2010 I'm faithful. I'm just terribly busy right now. I've been out every evening, though posting remotely last night.

Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted September 27, 2010 Posted September 27, 2010 Voting for the September 22 loss to the Marlins will close on Tuesday morning.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted September 28, 2010 Posted September 28, 2010 Voting for the Friday, Saturday, and Sunday games in Philadelphia will close on Wednesday morning.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted September 30, 2010 Posted September 30, 2010 Voting for Tuesday's win over the Brewers will close on Friday morning. We've had a bit of an uptick in participation lately, which is nice to see; gives me a dash of enthusiasm for continuing this silly exercise into the 2011 season.I'll probably close last night's doubleheader over the weekend. If there's a rainout tonight, that will wrap up the month of September and potentially cause one particular Met to lose a shot at Schaefer glory.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted October 1, 2010 Posted October 1, 2010 Voting for both the first game and the second game of the Brewers' Wednesday doubleheader sweep of the Mets will close over the weekend. Five voters so far for each game. If you still have votes to cast, please try to get them submitted today.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted October 4, 2010 Posted October 4, 2010 Voting for the September 30game (a 9-2 loss to the Brewers) will close on Tuesday morning. That will wrap up the month of September. It looks like we'll have first-time winners in all three categories, so look for three all-new retro baseball cards in tomorrow's Player of the Month announcement. On Wednesday the voting for the three games against Washington will close, and with that we'll be able to reveal the Schaefer Mets Player of the Year. (I doubt that anyone will be surprised by the result.)
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted October 4, 2010 Posted October 4, 2010 Wait. October games don't get hammered into the numbers for September's PotM? Does that mean we get a PotM for October's three games?
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted October 4, 2010 Posted October 4, 2010 No. Any games played in March or October count only to season totals, but not to monthly awards.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted October 6, 2010 Posted October 6, 2010 Time to wrap up the Schaefer stuff for 2010.Voting for the last three games of the season (against Washington at Citi Field) will close tomorrow, and the final Schaefer season totals will be revealed. If you care to cast any final Schaefer votes, please do so today.Friday's gameSaturday's gameSunday's game
