Yeah, I can see that. I can definitely see that.

I'll see 'em, and raise 'em:

Our own Mr. Murphy...

and Sam Worthington ("Jakesully" of "Avatar")

I don't have time to look up pics right now, but I've always thought Mike Pelfrey had some Eddie Vedder in him.

Switching gears to perennial Oscar nominees...

Spring Training winner Jenrry Mejia

"Training Day" winner Denzel Washington

As to Vedder and Pelf, you make the call...

I'd argue he looks more like an elongated version of Emile Hirsch (above left), who worked on the Vedder-scored Into the Wild.

Me neither, though hel ooks vaguely familiar.

Image props say: http://www.canmag.com/images/front/people2/jeremyrenner.jpg

So I assume it's Jeremy Renner, but I don't know who that is.

imdb says it's the guy on the show the Unusuals and in the movie the hurt locker. no interest in either of those.

But hey-- he's in good company. "Hurt Locker" may be the least-seen Best Picture in decades.

How about this?

Slap-hitting catching prospect Josh Thole

Bong-hitting Olympic hopeful Michael Phelps
