I almost never watch games that don't involve the Mets. (And lately, I don't seem to watch the ones that do involve them.)

I'm definitely going to pass on this one.

Flipping between Tex/Cle, Hou/Fla, and Det/Bos ... I think I can find time to
poke my head in to see some.

"Yes, I will!" is a little too exclamation(al) ... so I didn't vote!!!!!!

1 run thru 2 innings.
A couple of doubles (one bloop, one long) and an RBI bingle.

Up over 90 w/fastballs (assuming those gun things are even remotely accurate).

The important thing is that one of the superfans out there at Wrigley dumped a beer on the head of the Cryin Hawaiian, Shane Victorino, while he was fielding a fly out last night.

Couldn't have picked a better target.

I'm not sure, but it looked like there was a second soaker there. He more or less missed and didn't throw the cup, but see if you don't see a second shower come out of the stands from the right of Victorino --- your right, his left -- after the first guy pounds his from your left and Shane's right.

Anybody who throws a homerun ball back at CitiField should acknowledge their Cubs wannabeness, move to Chicago and join that crowd. Met fans had mostly been waiting 44 years to catch homerun balls.

After attending a couple games at Wrigley over the past two seasons, I'm surprised there were any fans in the bleachers who were paying close enough attention to the game to make a toss like that.

The activities out there seemed to have little connection to the activities on the field. Just a bunch of drunks who start in the bars across the street, show up at the game for a little while to frink some more than stumble back across the street after/during the game.

I know that's just a typo on Michigan's part, but I'm intrigued by the verb "frink."

Hey!
Give credit where credit is due.
It must take a lot of dedication, concentration and practice to be able to not allow something like a baseball game interrupt your drinking.

I think the guy on V's right was the actual (primary) beer tosser.

Got into a little late-night debate (prompted by a Facebook post) with a Phils-fan friend who does work for various Philly-area nonprofits about this. Vic's apparently a hell of a guy off-field-- she's worked a few fundraisers with him-- a WXPN guest-overnight-DJ gig, some Children's Hospital stuff-- and he's exceedingly generous with his time, and funny, and gracious to everyone he spends said time with*. "Yes," I said, "but that doesn't mean that every time I see him gesture at the Met dugout, I won't give him the finger inside my head."

(*Utley, on the other hand? By her thirdhand report, kind of a stoner d-bag, especially since last fall. Oooh, I feel like TMZ!)
