Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted August 5, 2009 Posted August 5, 2009 How would you like to be the Mets today? Humiliated in a game you had in your back pocket, then brought out to do it again in a camp-day nooner when it's 130 degrees. It's like they deserve it.

Valadius Old-Timey Member Posted August 5, 2009 Posted August 5, 2009 Birds are evil, despicable creatures. Take this for example:
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted August 5, 2009 Posted August 5, 2009 Opposite field homer by Wright into the bullpens? Don't see that much these days.
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted August 5, 2009 Posted August 5, 2009 My gameday just says "injury delay." Can you be more specific?
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted August 5, 2009 Posted August 5, 2009 Looks like pulled hammy and knee collapse on other leg taking warmup toss
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted August 5, 2009 Posted August 5, 2009 Does this injured player have a name?
Methead Old-Timey Member Posted August 5, 2009 Posted August 5, 2009 Gwreck wrote:My gameday just says "injury delay." Can you be more specific?Niese hurt his leg on a play at 1B... tried to throw a warmup pitch and fell down in a heap.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted August 5, 2009 Posted August 5, 2009 That was a scary moment for Niese...Figgy on call

Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted August 5, 2009 Posted August 5, 2009 I think we just need to put David Wright on the DL now to prevent future injuries.
Guest themetfairy Guests Posted August 5, 2009 Posted August 5, 2009 I cannot believe this. Poor Niese!
HahnSolo Old-Timey Member Posted August 5, 2009 Posted August 5, 2009 Figgy, say it with me, "helps his own cause" with a big 2-run triple.
TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted August 5, 2009 Posted August 5, 2009 I like these gay dames lately where so many runs are scored early that I only have to look in from time to time and not hang on every pitch.I'm looking at you, Figgy.

He collapsed like a wet sand castle as soon as his stride leg hit ground.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 5, 2009 Posted August 5, 2009 I'm not so sure it's a good thing that pitchers have 4 of our last 10 RBIs
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted August 5, 2009 Posted August 5, 2009 I'm curious to know if some of our long time fans have ever seen the like of this with the injuries .
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted August 5, 2009 Posted August 5, 2009 A Modest Proposal: Forfeit all remaining games; turn scheduled home games into "Met rallies"/autograph sessions/fan-feedback events.Apart from carpal tunnel problems, no one gets hurt at autograph sessions.Actually, scratch that-- no autograph sessions.
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted August 5, 2009 Posted August 5, 2009 The way things are going this season, I'm starting to think that the show "Deadliest Catch" is about playing defense for the Mets.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted August 5, 2009 Posted August 5, 2009 And Zach Branff who plays a Doctor on TV appearssays "I've never seen anything like that (Niese) does that that happen often?Response from mic "Around here it does"
