* Boston - who blew a 3-run lead in the 9th yesterday and eventually lost in the 11th - coughs up 5 to Oakland in the 1st inning tonight (Penny)

* Halladay pitched (and lost) this afternoon in Seattle (where it's been nearly 100 degrees all week - WTF?) so that's 5 fewer days until he can help a contender

* Dodgers kept blowing saves and finally lost to StL in the 15th.
LA had a 1-0 lead in the 9th but the Cards tied it. Then they scored again in the 11th but again the Cards evened it up.
Finally Jeff Weaver almost escaped a leadoff triple in bottom 15, After and IF pop-up - then a FC/out at home, Albert knocked in the winner w/2 outs
