Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 21, 2009 Posted July 21, 2009 Lannan shut us down on 4 hits last time (June 6) so we owe him one. That was also the last game John Maine pitched.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted July 21, 2009 Posted July 21, 2009 And he puts one to the track but no further.Nyjer Morgan still engaging in piracy.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted July 21, 2009 Posted July 21, 2009 Anyone else's cablevision SNY HD feed not working properly? I've got no sound at all and only on SNY.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted July 21, 2009 Posted July 21, 2009 They get some measure of revenge by picking Nyjer off.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted July 21, 2009 Posted July 21, 2009 Omar in the booth and Cohen throws him a softball , jeez..."Hey Omar , we know it can be tough to be a player in NY , what about being a general manager?"puleeeeese
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted July 21, 2009 Posted July 21, 2009 Omar cites Santos as a positive. I see him as a negative because his little hot streak essentially forced a better player out of town and now he's showing his true colors. Ashie still thinks he's the MVP.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted July 21, 2009 Posted July 21, 2009 Someone needs to save Minaya from himself , sounding very desperate right now in the booth.

nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted July 21, 2009 Posted July 21, 2009 Castro has a long enough track record to tell me that thats just a short-term abberartion, its only 36 PAs! Santos has no track record and I say this is who he is. my original plan (sending him down and thus holding on to all 3 catchers in the organization) was still far wiser than the "omar plan" though.
Piggiestomatoes Old-Timey Member Posted July 21, 2009 Posted July 21, 2009 4-0. With the way they're swinging, it may as well be 14-0.

Piggiestomatoes Old-Timey Member Posted July 21, 2009 Posted July 21, 2009 6 fucking walks in 5.1 innings??? Who's working with this moron?
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted July 21, 2009 Posted July 21, 2009 (edited) Bets down. Last chance.Another night without any extra base hits. Edited July 21, 2009 by Guest
Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted July 21, 2009 Posted July 21, 2009 Doesn't matter how many Ollie walks if we can't get runs off this horrible team.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted July 21, 2009 Posted July 21, 2009 Well, I'm glad I passed on attending that one.No more John Lannan starts for me.First Nats win for Jim Riggleman.

If he'd had a struggling Castro he'd still have had Santos in AAA if that looked like a better option today. He had a good chance to keep the team's options open with very little downside (did anyone expect Santos to be much better than Castro going forward if at all?)
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted July 21, 2009 Posted July 21, 2009 It's not like Castro went for free. This is just too silly. You're bemoaning the loss of a guy who has hit .133 since being traded.

Not to mention the pitching.Oy gevalt.
