Why does this Wednesday night always feel like some kind of void?

I mean, I'm sure we all have crap to do ... I've barely visited the forum today
I've been so busy ... but it's always felt this way to me since I was a kid I think.

Did anyone broadcast the Triple-A ASG?

Nelson Figueroa pitched a scoreless frame, allowing one hit and striking out two.

I don't know about Triple-A, but I was at the Double-A Eastern League ASG in Trenton last night. Met outfielder D.J. Wabick went 2-4 with an RBI double and a single. Pitcher Roy Merritt pulled a Heath Bell, coming into a tied game and becoming the pitcher of record on the losing side. Josh Thole was electe to the team but didn't attend the game (is he injured?).

Yes, but I don't remember who. Might have been MLB Network. It started at 11:00 EDT or so, I think, as it was held in Portland, OR. I watched Yankee future flameout Austin Jackson make out against somebody named Doobie or Tribble or something and went to bed.

Were you able to catch who sponsored the scoreboard? I couldn't quite tell from the pictures...

He dislocated his thumb about two weeks ago, and was put on the 7 day DL. I had hoped to have seen him play at New Britain last Sunday, but he was still out. Bummer! I really wanted to see him play.

Yeah - it's very subtle. You know, the Yankees way....

BTW, here is a picture of Top Star Award winner Miguel Abreu. I like how one can read the award name on the bat in this photo -
