Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted July 14, 2009 Posted July 14, 2009 Obama just said he's a big Jeter fan. Not good. But I love this game! I look forward to it all year, and a little Jeter love isn't gonna ruin it.
Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted July 14, 2009 Posted July 14, 2009 Nice to see Granderson there. He's a nice guy.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted July 14, 2009 Posted July 14, 2009 I could not care less. I'll take a Mets game please.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted July 14, 2009 Posted July 14, 2009 JOE BUCK: "From the Chicago Cubs, Ted Lilly."CLASSIEST FANS IN AMERICA: "BOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!"TED LILLY: (Not responding, "Boo? Fuck you.")
Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted July 14, 2009 Posted July 14, 2009 Hey! One of the All-Stars Among Us is a Mets fan!
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted July 14, 2009 Posted July 14, 2009 Joe has constantly proven that while Jack Buck is in the Hall of Fame, the only way Joe will make it would be if he buys a ticket. Later
Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted July 14, 2009 Posted July 14, 2009 This probably doesn't belong here, and I hope they don't do it every year. But to get all five presidents on board is pretty impressive.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted July 14, 2009 Posted July 14, 2009 Thanks MLB & FOX for making me feel like shit watching the wonderful ordinary people who make extraordinary contributions in life.

Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted July 14, 2009 Posted July 14, 2009 Um... Michael Strahan, comedic actor?
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted July 14, 2009 Posted July 14, 2009 I hate that State Farm commercial--nobody has any Mets stuff.

Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted July 14, 2009 Posted July 14, 2009 I don't really care about the White Sox but I respect Obama more for being a true fan of his team and representing.
Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted July 14, 2009 Posted July 14, 2009 I think it's cool Obama wore a Sox jacket instead of a generic All-Star jacket.
Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted July 14, 2009 Posted July 14, 2009 I heard that Obama is going to be in the booth for a while. I'm OK with that. because if Obama is talking, Tim McCarver isn't.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 14, 2009 Posted July 14, 2009 They give these TV producers too many toys to play with. Those hand-held cameras were at a ridiculous (like knee-high) angle for the AL All-Stars which was great if the purpose was to see up their nostrils. And then we never really saw Obama's pitch because they insisted on shooting it with the hand-held from the 3rd base side of the mound. They got their close-up but lost the throw in the process. I think it reached Pujols but I'll have to take someone's word for it.
Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted July 14, 2009 Posted July 14, 2009 I'd like Lincecum a lot more if he drills Jeter right here.
Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted July 14, 2009 Posted July 14, 2009 YES!!!! YES!!!!I love this guy!
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted July 14, 2009 Posted July 14, 2009 Quick, ask for simultneous lightning strikes to 2B and centerfield!
Guest Kong76 Guests Posted July 14, 2009 Posted July 14, 2009 Fistful of Dollars in on the Western Channel, if you don't own the dvd.I was flipping back and forth.I think they need to amend The Constitution to include separation of base-ball and state or something.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted July 14, 2009 Posted July 14, 2009 Albert Pujols-- perhaps the game's greatest... um... hitter.
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted July 14, 2009 Posted July 14, 2009 Nice job covering firstbase jackass. Also cut your freaking hair already.
