Great time to overidentify with a team.I find myself doing the same thing, odd that it would happen more when "we" are sucking wind."I," on the other hand, missed most of this game because I was outside drinking at a party and playing with my kids. So "I" had a good time, even as "we" were pissing another game down the chute.
Piggiestomatoes Old-Timey Member Posted July 4, 2009 Posted July 4, 2009 Damn, I am glad I missed today's game. Just saw the low-lights on the 11 'clock news and was disgusted to see more dropped balls and errant throws leading to opportunities for the fillies. We do suck, don't we.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 5, 2009 Posted July 5, 2009 That the Mets have been 'out-defensed' by the Phils this season is painfully obvious to even casual watchers of the head to head games. They're kicking our butts in OF defense, in up the middle 'D' w/Utley & Rollins, and Feliz just sucks up everything that comes near him.And then yesterday even the breaks were going against them as three consecutive shots were banked off Moyer - but two deflected directly to fielders for outs.
