From the booth?

I was off the air for a bit there and missed any nail file thing.

Oh my , you watch the Mets and you are likely to see something that you never saw before in a game

Don't walk the pitcher and these fielding goofs are more comical than scary

It's a comedy of errors. But only other teams' fans find it funny.

So it sucks is what I'm saying.

NICE -- Warthen gets tossed.

A Little League Grand Slam. On a fucking 0-2 pitch.

Well, that closes the books on Warthan. Game is in Randy Niemann's hands now.

Braun takes his helmet off before he crossed the plate there. That's beyond bush, and he needs to eat some horsehide next time up.

Speaking of Little League, let's remember Burns ain't crap.

Don't mind getting beat by Ryan Braun; he's a good hitter.

Drives me crazy though that we are consistently unable to make proper relay throws. Good throw by Cora gets Hardy at the plate I think.

Bad News Fucking Bears. That's the most frustrating part of this slide and frankly even going back to Willie as manager -- horrible fundimentals. In the field, on the basepaths, in the batter's box and from the mound.

Too many runners thrown out on base, walks by pitchers, dropped balls, pitchers and fielders falling over (maybe there's some balance training for Pelfrey, Castillo and Fartinez), throws to the wrong base allowing runners to take extra bases, weak fucking pop outs, inability to move runners over.

Worst of all is an apparent lack of fight and emotion. That shit ain't gangsta; that's weak and a reflection on the manager.

It's a team without character and -- it seems -- without chemistry. No fucking swagger. Although swagger has some relation to play and with the way these boobs are playing, swagger would be slightly comical.

Notwithstanding tonight's homerun, Wright has been a disappointment. Is it possible to hit a more quiet .340? With everyone hurt, he's had a perfect opportunity to step up and lead and it just hasn't happened.

We know about the injuries and you can't do anything about that (probably) but the sloppy, uninspired play is fucking embarrassing.

I'm glad I can't read into everything like that ... I'd be even nuttier.

I'm sorry, David's "quiet" .340 is not something we can complain about. Is there anyone getting more hits in the league? Nope. He can't put the people on base ahead of him to drive in.

As for the fundamentals? It's a HUGE problem, and I don't understand why Jerry isn't being called on the carpet more for this. He, Razor Shines and Sandy Alomar are doing a piss poor job of making sure the Mets play solid defensive baseball. It's just terrible.

Not my first choice, but making Braun look bad on a change-up works.

I don't think you can complain about Wright. He's all by himself in that lineup. Probably hasn't seen a decent pitch to hit since Beltran went down.

I fear this is on the verge of being a lost season.

I agree with that much. We can do without swagger or chemistry or even a more productive Wright (I'm ain't complaining too much about Wright, he's having a weird year) but if we catch the ball a little more often and stop getting out-executed so much we might be inspiring and fun.
