HahnSolo Old-Timey Member Posted June 14, 2009 Posted June 14, 2009 I know he had 3 hits yesterday, but has the rook earned batting in that #2 spot?

Guest Hawkeye57 Guests Posted June 14, 2009 Posted June 14, 2009 Castillo at 9 and Sheff at 6? I would have kept Sheffield where he was honestly. I would prefer seeing Castillo and Martinez the other way around in the order.
Guest Kong76 Guests Posted June 14, 2009 Posted June 14, 2009 The Direct TV blimp has been around a lot today. I thought it was odd be-cause usually the blimps are only around for nationally televised games sothe TBS broadcast explains that. Not like we'll see any TBS blimp shots because it's blacked out here.

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 14, 2009 Author Posted June 14, 2009 A billion and a half dollars and the scoreboard's held up by scotch tape
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted June 14, 2009 Posted June 14, 2009 I think a break-away scoreboard is a good idea.
Guest Kong76 Guests Posted June 14, 2009 Posted June 14, 2009 Where the funk in Martinez throwing that ball?Hey, we get blimp shots.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted June 14, 2009 Posted June 14, 2009 Hey, what good's a blimp if you can't share it?Sit this a-hole down, Johan.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted June 14, 2009 Posted June 14, 2009 Fuck, that was a 4-run inning.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted June 14, 2009 Posted June 14, 2009 (edited) All with 2 outs. Edited June 14, 2009 by Guest

Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted June 14, 2009 Posted June 14, 2009 Nice turn on the outside pitch from Schneider.Scamper, Muffy, scamper!
Guest Kong76 Guests Posted June 14, 2009 Posted June 14, 2009 (edited) Burnett on the ropes in the 3rd with bases jammed and no one out. Edited June 14, 2009 by Guest
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted June 14, 2009 Posted June 14, 2009 Juiced. We could sure use a pop fly to right now.
Guest Kong76 Guests Posted June 14, 2009 Posted June 14, 2009 Cora ripped, twice. If I was Manuel I'd mess with Burnett's head and go complain to blue aboutall the crap he's wearing around his neck and insist it come off NOW!!!
Guest Hawkeye57 Guests Posted June 14, 2009 Posted June 14, 2009 Wow, just wow.How am I not used to this from this team yet?
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted June 14, 2009 Posted June 14, 2009 They get a 2 out hit from a nobody and it leads to 4 runs. Our guys can't even get a flyball with the bases loaded and less than 2 out. Pathetic. And they better send F. Martinez down before he loses all his trade value. Has he shown anybody here anything to make you think that he's as good as the Mets claim he is?
Theoldmole Old-Timey Member Posted June 14, 2009 Posted June 14, 2009 Not scoring with bases loaded and no out bothers me a lot more than a dropped popup.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted June 14, 2009 Posted June 14, 2009 TheOldMole wrote:Not scoring with bases loaded and no out bothers me a lot more than a dropped popup.Same here. We should release Beltran, Fartinez and Cora right now.

Has he shown anybody here anything to make you think that he's as good as the Mets claim he is?I'll disagree. His trade value should have nothing to do with where he's played, but rather his value value. And it's not the Mets' claims that his repuatation hangs on. Edited June 14, 2009 by Guest
Guest Kong76 Guests Posted June 14, 2009 Posted June 14, 2009 Burnett's gotta crash and burn here eventually.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted June 14, 2009 Posted June 14, 2009 Well, at least they only left 1 that time.
