Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted May 19, 2009 Posted May 19, 2009 I liked it even more before Gary announces on the broadcast that Sheffield wasn't feeling well yesterday and was kept out of today's lineup for the same reason.Seriously, Jerry? You couldn't just go with Murphy against the lefty? It wasn't as if you couldn't see that the Dodgers had a righty ready in the event you went to Sheffield.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted May 19, 2009 Posted May 19, 2009 Nice to see Manuel learning his lesson with the overmanaging.
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted May 19, 2009 Posted May 19, 2009 I don't out-and-out root for home runs too much (not that I hate seeing them), but damn, we could *really* use one from Church right now.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted May 19, 2009 Posted May 19, 2009 Church must seek forgiveness.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted May 19, 2009 Posted May 19, 2009 Wright as tying run with no out, I'll take any positive from Church I can get.Wade isn't throwing too hard, and I'd like to do it here before we get to Broxton.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted May 19, 2009 Posted May 19, 2009 Fart, now the whole game comes down to this fish batting 6th for the 4th time tonite.
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted May 19, 2009 Posted May 19, 2009 How about a pinch hitter NOW, Jerry? Tatis could play second.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted May 19, 2009 Posted May 19, 2009 Holy shit I just noticed he changed numbers.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted May 19, 2009 Posted May 19, 2009 Now, I'd have no probelm looking to Tatis here.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted May 19, 2009 Posted May 19, 2009 Jesus Christ, Jerry. Messes with everything, but lets this situation happen.
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted May 19, 2009 Posted May 19, 2009 Yeah, that was particularly brutal.I don't understand why it's perfectly apparent to me that Ramon Martinez's peak contributions to the Mets have come and gone yet Jerry Manuel can't figure that out.
Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted May 19, 2009 Posted May 19, 2009 Why is Ramon Martinez in there instead of Castillo?I hat West Coast trips. Doesn't seem like too many good things happen on them.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted May 19, 2009 Posted May 19, 2009 well i'm out. booooooooo jerry
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted May 19, 2009 Posted May 19, 2009 Yeah. I'm still with Tug but it should be pretty clear that the chance to win just left the building.
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted May 19, 2009 Posted May 19, 2009 metsguyinmichigan wrote:Why is Ramon Martinez in there instead of Castillo?I guess because for every "Angel Pagan bats leadoff and gets 4 hits" there's a "Ramon Martinez bats 6th (!!), strikes out three times and hits a inning-crushing GIDP."

Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted May 19, 2009 Posted May 19, 2009 Reed, Santos, and Pagan scheduled to face Broxton in the ninth. That's like three hobbits against a Balrog, man.

Fuck.Offday tomorrow precludes need for said matinee.Plus, are you kidding me? Dodger fans arrive in the third inning for evening games... the daytime crowd would be comparable to that of a middle-school soccer game, with marginally more stabbing.
