I read through this entire IGT thread after seeing my last patient of the day. What a depressing end of the workday. I knew we were in for trouble when the Mets were leading through 7 innings and I was only at the bottom of page 4 in the thread. I knew somehow they must have spit the bit and found a way to lose the game. Still I read on with the faint hope that I would read that the Mets ultimately won in extra innings. Unfortunately, it was not to be, but instinctively I knew that in my heart all along. It seems this team just seems to find ways to lose.

I have a feeling this is going to be a long, frustrating season.

Doc , if the Mets were your patient what would you prescribe to fix all that ails them?

Sorry for the lame play on your post.

I think most of the team needs an assheadectomy.

Most of the fans would likely benefit from a strong sedative, a narcotic analgesic and an opaque eye mask for sound sleeping.

]We can gnash over Jerry's decision there all we want, but lets not forget the clusterf**k our third baseman was in the ninth (all homestand, in fact).

Word. With two on in the ninth, down by 1 run, you can't go down looking at a freaking fastball.

This game blew. I blame myself, for telling a fellow Mets fan two days ago that we were a better team than we were playing and would get better.

I'm starting to think I was wrong.

I've been recognized by one person almost every game this year.

I've been unrecognized by 39,000 people every game this year as well.
