Guest Rotblatt Guests Posted April 29, 2009 Posted April 29, 2009 Hey, everyone! Been a while since I last posted, but I've been busy getting laid off, applying to grad school, and writing a book--the latter on a topic y'all might be able to help with. The premise is, California falls into the Pacific, prompting a guy in Brooklyn to try and bring the Dodgers back. Fiction, obviously, with a comic/satirical bent, but it also contains a number of original Brooklyn Dodgers fans, and I want them to be authentic(ish). To help achieve that, I want to interview Dodger fans from back in the day, and I had a feeling there might be some hanging out at The CPF. If you fit the bill and are willing to chat, please post here, or send me a message. If you're in the NYC area, I'd like to try and meet in person--drinks on me! Thanks in advance, and mods, if this should be moved somewhere else (I considered the Member Promotion forum, but since I haven't finished it yet . . . ), I won't be offended in the least.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted April 29, 2009 Posted April 29, 2009 Holy shit. Good luck!
Guest themetfairy Guests Posted April 29, 2009 Posted April 29, 2009 I'm too young to have rooted for the Dodgers (although I was raised by Brooklyn Dodgers fans), so I'm probably of no help to you. But best of luck on the book - it sounds like a good read!

It brought us closer together again, I was a bit of awild man in the 80's and it gave us a common interest.
