stevejrogers Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2009 Posted April 19, 2009 (edited) Never mind... Edited April 19, 2009 by Guest
Guest Swan Swan H Guests Posted April 19, 2009 Posted April 19, 2009 Never mind, indeed. My answer to Rogers makes no sense since he changed his post.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2009 Posted April 19, 2009 Now Santos has a triple too.And he knocks Suppan out of the game.
Guest Swan Swan H Guests Posted April 19, 2009 Posted April 19, 2009 'Bucket, any room left on that Santos bandwagon?
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2009 Posted April 19, 2009 Hardy kicks a grounder by Jose, and Santos comes home to score.Reyes is the tying run at first with one out in the 7th.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2009 Posted April 19, 2009 Now Murphy has singled Reyes to second and Wright is up.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2009 Posted April 19, 2009 Walked him!Bases loaded, one out, Carlos Delgado!
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2009 Posted April 19, 2009 drat.A 1-2-3 (or perhaps a 1-2-4) double play ends the inning.Mets get one, though, and are down by 1 with two innings to go.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2009 Posted April 19, 2009 Mets trying another rally.Beltran leads off the 8th with a single, then Sheffield walks.Tatis comes up. Brewers announcers thinking he'll bunt.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2009 Posted April 19, 2009 He hasn't had a successful sacrifice bunt since 2002.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2009 Posted April 19, 2009 Looks like he's not bunting. Good! I prefer the 3-run homer.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2009 Posted April 19, 2009 Tatis strikes out.Santos up.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2009 Posted April 19, 2009 Come on, Omir! There's still room on the bandwagon!Count now at 2-0. Reed in the on-deck circle. Frankie Rodriguez throwing in the pen.
Guest Swan Swan H Guests Posted April 19, 2009 Posted April 19, 2009 Auggghhh. Santos smoked that one, but hit Hall smack in the glove.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2009 Posted April 19, 2009 Ouch! Santos smoked a line drive to third with the runners going (on 3-2) and it's an easy double play.Inning over.Mets get one more shot to score a run. Pitcher's spot will lead off the ninth.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2009 Posted April 19, 2009 Huh! Me and Swan Swan both use the same verb.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2009 Posted April 19, 2009 Brewers announcers are killing (I'm exaggerating) Jerry over the lack of the bunt. If Tatis can't bunt, then use Castillo as a PH.I just don't see it, though.
Guest Swan Swan H Guests Posted April 19, 2009 Posted April 19, 2009 I agree. He's in the lineup to hit, so let him hit. Although, at this rate, he'll be playing everyday for Your Buffalo Bisons before long.Meanwhile, Weeks finds the hole that Santos did not. Brewers by 2. Pitcher's hole then the top due for the Good Guys.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2009 Posted April 19, 2009 Castillo out, but then Jose gets on on an infield single.Murphy the tying run at the plate.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2009 Posted April 19, 2009 And he pops to short. It's all up to Mr. Wright.
Guest Swan Swan H Guests Posted April 19, 2009 Posted April 19, 2009 Blecchh. Coffey did a nice job here, but they Mets had their chances.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2009 Posted April 19, 2009 And Wright ends it with a soft liner to second."The biggest win of the year for the Brewers" according to their announcers.
Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted April 19, 2009 Posted April 19, 2009 Three runs in two days is not gonna get it done. Feel bad for Nelson, who did what he was supposed to do.

Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted April 19, 2009 Posted April 19, 2009 Was I all over that Omir Santos call or what?Bad luck, and a few bad turns at bat is all it takes.

Neither strike one (the half-swing) nor strike two (called on the inside corner) looked like strikes to me and that put him in the 0-2 hole.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2009 Posted April 19, 2009 Reyes & Murphy on base 3 times each - yet only once in the same inningBetween that and all the DPs it was that kind of day.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2009 Posted April 19, 2009 Casey Fossum. Welcome.Nelson Figueroa. DFA'd.Of course, they could have just started Stokes today instead of Figueroa (and Pelfrey) allowing them to keep O'Day. Or they could have DL'd Pelfrey. Instead, they've potentially lost two decent pitchers.
