bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009 That shit call changes the whole inning. Bastard.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009 Hey, Dreckman, this is history here.
Guest OlerudOwned Guests Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009 Someone turned up the gravity underneath that changeup.
Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009 Bad.But the big bats are coming up.ESPN showed that the Coors debut was a walk-off, too.
Guest Kong76 Guests Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009 I'm running out of gas, I'm not a Monday night person.Wake me up Mets NOW!!!
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009 Evenin' CPF'ers!Been watching most of tonight's game. The Wright tater was impressive. Kids asleep, drink in hand, ready for some IGT before I hit the road tomorrow.
Guest OlerudOwned Guests Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009 Really refreshing analysis from Hershiser talking about the perception of current pitchers getting hurt more while pitching less. Imagine that, a former player on ESPN giving credit to current players instead of spouting some "back in my day" bullcrap. Then again, I guess you could argue that Orel pitched in the modern era compared to a lot of the guys who are guilty of that.

Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009 I always thought the riding Tommy Lasorda gave Orel in 1988 ruined his arm. He was all guts and gristle after that.
Guest Kong76 Guests Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009 OO: Nobody is ever going to homer to centerfield, ever <<<Or until mid May.
Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009 Orel really does a good job in the booth. Much better than having Joe Morgan up there talking about the Yankees all night.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009 Nice job to get out of the inning. Let's Go Mets!
Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009 Wow, ESPN just showed the Petco debut ... and another walk-off!Hey, Duaner got a job. He owes us.
Guest OlerudOwned Guests Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009 Hey, it's Duaner. I like you, Duaner.I hope they crush you, Duaner. Nothing personal.
Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009 I still can't get over the flippin' balk.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009 Not the most inspirational turn at bat. One more inning, one more chance to get that run across.Who's pitching the 9th?
HahnSolo Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009 Was that Duaner's first 1-2-3 inning since July 2006?
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009 Frankie is on the hill. One out on the K, Rodriguez looking good so far.
HahnSolo Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009 Incidentally, I can't grasp why Reyes does not get credit for a double on that ball when he overslid the bag. Or for that matter, why Gerut gets an assist.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009 Didn't we used to get the MPH of the pitches last year? I feel like that is missing now.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009 I switched from EI to ESPN. I was listening closely, but did I hear "if you think Frankie is bad, you should try Orel."
Guest OlerudOwned Guests Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009 Heath Bell, like Aaron Harang, lost weight this winter.Heath Bell, unlike Aaron Harang, still looks like a fat load.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009 Heath Bell, named after the candy bar I assume. Throwing smoke though.
Guest OlerudOwned Guests Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009 Heath Bell just threw a pitch through the screen. Next pitch, the Padres catcher jumps over it.
