Guest mario25 Guests Posted November 12, 2008 Posted November 12, 2008 What do you guys think the Mets would have to give the Chicago White Sox for Bobby Jenks and Jermaine Dye? Both are available says GM Kenny Williams of the Sox. I think a package of Parnell, Heilman and FMART may do it...

Guest mario25 Guests Posted November 12, 2008 Posted November 12, 2008 My bad, sorry if you were offended by my post. I guess I need to reread the posting rules or something.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted November 12, 2008 Posted November 12, 2008 Not at all. But I don't see a package without any ready-to-wear players getting it done.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted November 12, 2008 Posted November 12, 2008 I'd love seeing those two become Mets for 2009.I don't think FMART is going anywhere though. At least I would hope not at this point.Btw, Nymr83s bark is worse than his bite Mario.
Guest mario25 Guests Posted November 12, 2008 Posted November 12, 2008 I didnt know CAPS and a trade thought would bring out someone's ire. I think it could be a good trade to pickup those 2 guys for some Mets players. Jenks is signed for a while and Dye is a RH hitter with good power.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted November 12, 2008 Posted November 12, 2008 Jenks is a little bit of David Wells Jr., I'd consider him as a closer only after looking at other imports first and maybe even Parnell. I kinda like Vazquez & Swishy of the rumored Sox.I don't think we oughta trade Fartinez, especially for a 35 year old.

And for Dye at least, they'd ask for significant major league help. Jenks' rapidly declining strikeout rate worries me. I could see the White Sox hoping to sell high on him, but as a prospective buyer that would give me pause.metirish Nov 13 2008 07:42 AMNot getting moist with this trade proposal .
