Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted September 29, 2008 Posted September 29, 2008 Who is this guy? Mets by the Numbers asks.
HahnSolo Old-Timey Member Posted September 29, 2008 Posted September 29, 2008 I've seen him a number of times the last few weeks and asked the same question.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted September 29, 2008 Posted September 29, 2008 For weeks I have meant to ask who is the guy that looks vaguely like Randolph in the dugout....I assumed it was Juan Lopez....it's not him?
Guest AG/DC Guests Posted September 29, 2008 Posted September 29, 2008 His company and his stockiness suggest he's in the catching trade, but he doesn't really look like Sandy Jr.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted September 29, 2008 Posted September 29, 2008 Juan Lopez is my suspicion too. He gets listed as an offic ial coach on the roster but "batting practice pitcher" is as far as I'd like to consider noteworthy. He was in 56 before Ayala came along and was apparently moved to 62, but maybe it was 64.
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted September 29, 2008 Posted September 29, 2008 He's a match for the photo of Juan Lopez in the media guide. But with the Mets, that could mean he's Rick Waits.
HahnSolo Old-Timey Member Posted September 29, 2008 Posted September 29, 2008 He could pass for an older, heavier Alejandro Pena.
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted September 29, 2008 Posted September 29, 2008 Been there.Done that (64)Today is my 65th birthday.Later
Guest sharpie Guests Posted September 29, 2008 Posted September 29, 2008 Happy birthday MFS62, now 65.Now people could read it that you've been a Mets fan since you were 62, 3 years ago.
Guest Kong76 Guests Posted September 29, 2008 Posted September 29, 2008 Happy birthday! Hard to believe you're 65, you didn't look a day over 63 last time I saw you.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted September 29, 2008 Posted September 29, 2008 I do believe that's Chico Escuela.
