Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 30, 2008 Posted August 30, 2008 Gettin' lefty with itReyesCastilloWrightDelgadoBeltranChurchMurphySchneiderPelfreyState of the pen:Ayala - Def not available for tonight, both based on last night's work load and also a right groin strain, something he apparently did on the first pitch last nightSchoeneweis - Tweaked his back while stretching, was not available for Friday's game and may not be for todaySanchez - Apparently has some sort of knee problem. He's not necc out of the picture but doesn't sound like he'll be the first one upHeilman - IS back in the picture after getting three days off following his 60-pitch outing on TuesdaySounds like Figgy might be the first guy up (unless Pelfrey wants to notch a 3rd consectutive CG) w/Heilman to close and some combo of Smith & Stokes in between.
Guest KC Guests Posted August 30, 2008 Posted August 30, 2008 Ramirez ssHermida rfCantu 3bJacobs 1bWillingham lfUggla 2bRoss cfBaker cNolasco pWright already with a two run bomb in the first!
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted August 30, 2008 Posted August 30, 2008 Guess who leads off next inning...
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted August 30, 2008 Posted August 30, 2008 Does it hurt, honey? It wasn't on purpose, you moron. The ump should toss Ross for being a little, whiny, baby. Why don't you get Miguel Olivo to hit the 3B coach (I know he's in KC now)?
Methead Old-Timey Member Posted August 30, 2008 Posted August 30, 2008 Didn't Ross get drilled in the back during the last series? I'm not saying either of 'em were on purpose but I'm sure Ross didn't forget. Not sure if Pelfrey hit him last time though.
Guest KC Guests Posted August 30, 2008 Posted August 30, 2008 That was pretty pussified, get out of the way next time if you don't wantto get hit. Picked off to boot, ha ha.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted August 30, 2008 Posted August 30, 2008 And picked him off.My Mancrush on Pelf is bordering on pornographic.
seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted August 30, 2008 Posted August 30, 2008 Loved that whole Ross sequence. Loved it.Pelfrey is becoming a man this season.
seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted August 30, 2008 Posted August 30, 2008 Jeebus, Castillo limps like a 70-year-old grandma.
seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted August 30, 2008 Posted August 30, 2008 See, you can "shift" all you want, but if you don't know how to field ground balls, then it's not going to matter, suckas.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 30, 2008 Author Posted August 30, 2008 WTF is Ross thinking ... that Pelfrey is throwing at him w/the bases empty, two-outs/two strikes?!?Don't flatter yourself sweetie.Only other Marlin runner besides that is the fly ball that Murphy couldn't find.
seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted August 30, 2008 Posted August 30, 2008 Let's go up there hacking so we can get through five, fellas. Enough taking pitches.David Wright... "Linkin Park and Frank Sinatra"? Odd.
Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted August 30, 2008 Posted August 30, 2008 Just getting here. Big Pelf might lead this team in wins by the end of the season. And if you told me that in April, I'd have thought that would have meant the rest of the rotation was in a tragic accident.Great step forward for him!

Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted August 30, 2008 Posted August 30, 2008 Take a seat, Cody! I have to say, he didn't seem like such a punk when he played here for the Whitecaps.
Guest KC Guests Posted August 30, 2008 Posted August 30, 2008 Official game now, it's been raining for the last couple of innings.I guessed Cone was the answer to the trivia question, which was what wasthe last Met to throw three complete games in a row, but ya'll will have to take my word on it.Pelf looks sharp. Cody K'd in his next AB and looks like he may have a stroke any time soon before this one ends.

Cody and Jeremy and Josh -- it's the team you wanna beat up on the playground.
seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted August 30, 2008 Posted August 30, 2008 Way to get out of it, Pelf.Suck it, Cody Ross.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted August 30, 2008 Posted August 30, 2008 Cody kills the rally.OK, O, get back to work. 1 run since the first you know.
Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted August 30, 2008 Posted August 30, 2008 He's up to 100 pitches, though. Wonder of Jerry will try to get another one or two innings out of him.
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted August 30, 2008 Posted August 30, 2008 Marlins break through for a pair of runs. 3-2 Mets after six innings.Let's get those runs back in the seventh.
seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted August 30, 2008 Posted August 30, 2008 Gary & Keith, not "Simpsons" fans, apparently.
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted August 30, 2008 Posted August 30, 2008 Two out walk to Reyes. This would be a good time for him to run if he can get a good jump.
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted August 30, 2008 Posted August 30, 2008 Jose steals second, now if Castillo can get a hit for the 2 out RBI.
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted August 30, 2008 Posted August 30, 2008 Hey Luis, you have to swing the bat in order to hit the ball.
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted August 30, 2008 Posted August 30, 2008 Feliciano with yet another stellar appearance.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted August 30, 2008 Posted August 30, 2008 Duaner Sanchez lives.
