TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2008 Author Posted July 28, 2008 Agreed, I'll take my chances with Tatis and Chavez in the outfield if we can get another bullpen arm.If the Mets lose this game, it will be the 5th loss of the month on the bullpen...and we'll have only had 7 losses this month.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2008 Posted July 28, 2008 It would be something else if we get out of this down a few runs only.
Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted July 28, 2008 Posted July 28, 2008 Horrible. And the cost of a Street or Fuentes goes up with each ugly outing, I'm sure.
seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2008 Posted July 28, 2008 This got ugly quickly, didn't it?
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2008 Posted July 28, 2008 Ahh feck that , I hate to see them score like that.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2008 Posted July 28, 2008 Forget that , Marlins break it open.
Guest AG/DC Guests Posted July 28, 2008 Posted July 28, 2008 A lot of dumb --- or at least indecisive --- play here by the Mets.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted July 28, 2008 Posted July 28, 2008 Eh, we had no biz winning today anyhow. Lost our starter early, didn't "deserve" to score any runs, played some bad D.

Guest AG/DC Guests Posted July 29, 2008 Posted July 29, 2008 Take away Tatis' performance and this game was kind of a Willie throwback. Bunting their way out of an inning, an ill-advised steal attempt, mostly punchless through the middle of the order, the bullpen over-exposed, and a harmless at-bat by Anderson in the ninth. The Marlins didn't outplay the Mets, so much as the Mets out-bonered the Marlins.
