batmagadanleadoff Old-Timey Member Posted July 19, 2008 Posted July 19, 2008 I'd give Rose all the good counting stats except for HR's and RBI's. I'd go with Bench for those other two. Rate stats? Beats me?
Guest AG/DC Guests Posted July 19, 2008 Posted July 19, 2008 Lunchbucket... 9 correct.Batmag, given us a half-assed answer, gets... 9 correct!
Guest AG/DC Guests Posted July 19, 2008 Posted July 19, 2008 Oh, I left out SB. Feel free to guess that un.

It'd be truly Metsian if Seaver led in any of those pitching categories. But Seaver couldn't have pitched enough with the Reds to take any of those counting stats -- four and a half seasons including the strike-shortened '81. I'll take Maloney for every pitching stat except games -Bortbon, easy. I'll go ex-Met Myers for Saves.

stevejrogers Old-Timey Member Posted July 19, 2008 Posted July 19, 2008 He wasn't in Cincy for all that long, but they never really had a main guy consistently before, or even since, so I'm going to guess saves is John Franco?
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted July 19, 2008 Posted July 19, 2008 SLG - Perez?ERA - RijoSaves - Dibble (?)
Guest AG/DC Guests Posted July 19, 2008 Posted July 19, 2008 Perez is tied for second in slugging going into tonight (.483).Rijo is fifth in ERA (2.54).Dibble is tied for ninth with five saves.
Guest Mendoza Line Guests Posted July 20, 2008 Posted July 20, 2008 Dave Parker for SLG and Dave Concepcion for triples?
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted July 20, 2008 Posted July 20, 2008 Eric Davis for triples.
Guest AG/DC Guests Posted July 20, 2008 Posted July 20, 2008 No to Davis.A better hitter than a runner, this guy.The anti-Met slugging champ would eventually have a son on the Met payroll.
