Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 28, 2008 Author Posted June 28, 2008 Rain delay - probably short-lived.Looks like we'll get the Chicago-v-Chicago tilt on TV until then.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 28, 2008 Author Posted June 28, 2008 And just in case you're trying to keep track of the Yanqui moves since the end of game 1 yesterday- Hidecki Matsui DL'd -- Sydney Ponson called up- Ross Ohlendorf sent down -- (off)Kei Igawa called up- and today it (off)Kei Igawa sent back down (how's that $46mil investment going?) and David Robertson brought up. Robertson is a RH reliever who was a middle-round draft pick from 2 years ago.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted June 28, 2008 Posted June 28, 2008 Nice 1st for Santana.Jeter is batting .382 vs. the Mets?Maybe we should go get that kid....make him a second baseman or something.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted June 28, 2008 Posted June 28, 2008 Easley and Wright draw walks.Come on Beltran.
Guest themetfairy Guests Posted June 28, 2008 Posted June 28, 2008 Nothing. A wasted opportunity.Scoreless after one.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted June 28, 2008 Posted June 28, 2008 When Church returns, who goes? Nixon is another lefty OF so he seems redundant but I like how hard he plays.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted June 28, 2008 Posted June 28, 2008 WooT!Santana Ks the side in the second.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 28, 2008 Author Posted June 28, 2008 Once again another NYY grounder hit too shitty to be turned into a GiDP.I've seen this movie before.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 28, 2008 Author Posted June 28, 2008 And they FUCKIN DO IT AGAIN!!!!!That's 3 IF grounders that resulted in two hits plus a non-DP.And it's only the 4th inning!!!!!
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted June 28, 2008 Posted June 28, 2008 Skanks are small ballin for the runs. The RBI groundout up the middle made me gah! to myself. The dribbly single off Canos bat just made me GAH! out loud. But it doesn't factor in the scoring. Two walks to start the inning and both score.Walks kill.
Guest KC Guests Posted June 28, 2008 Posted June 28, 2008 The radio here is a good five seconds ahead of the tv.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted June 28, 2008 Posted June 28, 2008 GAH!How could they call that error by Jeter a hit!I was about to type errors kill too!

But since I seem to be in the small minority of fans who aren't bothered by Buck/McCarver I'm listening to the TV feed.I can't believe they scored Tatis's bouncer a hit.
Guest KC Guests Posted June 28, 2008 Posted June 28, 2008 You know me well, that was code for, "I think McCarver is an assbag."
Guest KC Guests Posted June 28, 2008 Posted June 28, 2008 Lol, KB just asked from the other room why I'm watching the Yankee announcers and not the Mets.

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 28, 2008 Author Posted June 28, 2008 Usually Pettitte has to balk to get his pick offs.Reyes just made that one easy for him.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted June 28, 2008 Posted June 28, 2008 HOW can Jose get picked off there with Wright up? HOW CAN HE LET THAT HAPPEN?!
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 28, 2008 Author Posted June 28, 2008 Hey, Johan just got a call.According to my local weather channel it's gonna start pouring in Queens in the next 20 minutes.Won't last long.
