Someone might eventually notice that I gave this IGT the kiss of death on
page 2, post 3 or thereabout, so I thought I'd point it out.

I wasn't going to say anything about it. But you must have heard me thinking loudly....

On the bright side, if we can get through this inning, we have the top of the order up.

This is probably the kiss of death IGT wise, but this game is buzzing along
nicely time wise.

I meant you, by 'someone'

Aguila was a 3rd round draft pick of the Marlins in 1997, 6 picks after the Mets drafted Cesar Crespo.
Crespo never played for the Mets but did have 250 or so ABs of sub-Medoza line hitting for the Pads and BoSox.
Hasn't been seen since '04

i think the only ones left in the pen are Schoenweis, who has been terrible especially lately, and Smith.

Here we go! Top of the order. I say Reyes will come around to score on a Wright rbi.

Sanchez too.

All I think are as rested as Vargas or moreso, particularly Schoeneweis.

Basic bullpen principles:

1) Your releivers should get gradually better as you approach the ninth, gradually worse as you proceed past the ninth into extra innings.

2) Your releivers should tend to get gradually less durable as you approach the ninth, gradually more durable as you proceed past the ninth into extra iinnings.

Santana is probably home and not available for pinch-running.

I want him available for pitching.

He's a son of John DeMerit

Some nice names on that family tree...mostly pitchers, though.

Now, let's make that error hurt!

It falls to Beltran to try to deliver victory for the Mets.
