Guest AG/DC Guests Posted May 5, 2008 Posted May 5, 2008 May 22 --- or the last weekend in May --- is a typical release date for summer blockbusters. I'm going to guess it's Indiana Jones Day at the park.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2008 Posted May 5, 2008 I think Indy Jones is being celebrated throughout MLB that day. They had a similar arrangement with Spider-Man a few years ago. (I don't remember if it was for the second movie or the third.) They were going to put Spidey on the bases, but there was an uproar that led them to cancel that plan.
Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted May 6, 2008 Author Posted May 6, 2008 Well, yeah, I figured that, but I was having fun with it. Youse could play along you know?I mean that photo doesn't even link to anything so it's pretty incongruous if you ask me.
Theoldmole Old-Timey Member Posted May 6, 2008 Posted May 6, 2008 This will be the Temple of Doom for the Braves.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 6, 2008 Posted May 6, 2008 It was supposed to be El Duque's turn in the rotation but they wanted someone younger so they went with Indiana Jones instead.
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted May 6, 2008 Posted May 6, 2008 They could have just as easily gone with one of the Mummies Indy has unearthed.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted May 6, 2008 Posted May 6, 2008 That series might be the Last Crusade for Randolph.
