Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 14, 2008 Posted April 14, 2008 My vote is for m.e.t.b.o.t. as the next manager. Get Willie's sorry ass self out of there.
Valadius Old-Timey Member Posted April 14, 2008 Posted April 14, 2008 Spitzer. He'll play dirty but he'll get you your wins. Hillary, on the other hand, is an incompetent manager at every level and would be in over her head. We'd wind up with an enormous problem in the clubhouse and the team would self-destruct.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted April 14, 2008 Posted April 14, 2008 I'll go with Hilary, but would be looking to kick her upstairs to the GM's chair at the first opportunity.
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted April 14, 2008 Posted April 14, 2008 Spitzer. I'm sure a good percentage of the players gets "escorts" to their hotels while on the road so he'd fit right in.

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 15, 2008 Posted April 15, 2008 Hillary will inspire the team during tough times with stories about fighting her way out of trouble while stationed in Vietnam and how she and her friends settled disputes back in the 'hood.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted April 15, 2008 Posted April 15, 2008 And I would add that Hillary could ask Bill for advise , Bill was a fine manager in the nineties.
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted April 15, 2008 Posted April 15, 2008 Maybe Pete Rose should manage the Mets -- he really did dodge sniper fire at Shea.
Zach Thornton Syracuse Mets - AAA LHP On Sunday, the southpaw tossed five shutout innings as the bulk pitcher. He gave up 2 hits, walked 2 and had 5 strikeouts. Explore Zach Thornton News >
