Guest KC Guests Posted April 1, 2008 Posted April 1, 2008 I remember that as a 999 song, not a Buzzcock song, which my google justsaid.I'm getting old, and those guys look old too even if they weren't.Heilman!
Guest AG/DC Guests Posted April 1, 2008 Posted April 1, 2008 They're getting up there. The younger 'Cocks wouldn't have failed me so.
Guest AG/DC Guests Posted April 1, 2008 Posted April 1, 2008 Marlin bench is thin. Walk Almezagaga and see what they have for the pitcher's slot.
Guest KC Guests Posted April 1, 2008 Posted April 1, 2008 I gotta stay off youtube ... way too much buzzcock stuff on there and I'm watching a ballgame. Meanwhile, it's freakin' hailing here.
Valadius Old-Timey Member Posted April 1, 2008 Posted April 1, 2008 Let's get through this inning, Aaron!

Guest AG/DC Guests Posted April 1, 2008 Posted April 1, 2008 Well, stupid me, my strategy wouldn've brough Hanley Ramirez to the plate unless they could've doubled up Brett Carroll.
Guest AG/DC Guests Posted April 1, 2008 Posted April 1, 2008 Do the other teams in the East get a home crowd on the road in Miami like the Mets do?
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted April 1, 2008 Posted April 1, 2008 AG/DC wrote:Do the other teams in the East get a home crowd on the road in Miami like the Mets do?There are alot on NY retirees down there. I'd suspect the Braves get a good contingent since they are nearby and, until the 90's, were the closest team forever.
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted April 1, 2008 Posted April 1, 2008 Wright just hit one 400 feet.... and it was caught.
Valadius Old-Timey Member Posted April 1, 2008 Posted April 1, 2008 My grandpa went from being a Mets fan to being a huge Marlins fan when he moved to Florida.
Guest AG/DC Guests Posted April 1, 2008 Posted April 1, 2008 Gregg may yet get through this inning, but he's a disaster out there.
Valadius Old-Timey Member Posted April 1, 2008 Posted April 1, 2008 Come on Church, show us what you're made of.
Guest AG/DC Guests Posted April 1, 2008 Posted April 1, 2008 He goes 3-0 on four straight batters and Churchmouse comes out swinging?
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted April 1, 2008 Posted April 1, 2008 A clueless AB from Church, I would have liked Pagan right there but he was on deck.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted April 1, 2008 Posted April 1, 2008 Let's just be happy he didn't go down trying to drag bunt.
Valadius Old-Timey Member Posted April 1, 2008 Posted April 1, 2008 I need to figure out what I want to call Church. I'm tempted to call him Chicken.
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted April 1, 2008 Posted April 1, 2008 valadius - "My grandpa went from being a Mets fan to being a huge Marlins fan when he moved to Florida."I don't understand how a person can change their fanhood like changing addresses. I've been a Mets fan, no matter where I have lived. Sure, I became a White Sox fan during my 4 years that I lived a few blocks from the old Comiskey Park, but my pulling for the White Sox was secondary to my continued Mets ifandom.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted April 1, 2008 Posted April 1, 2008 Uggla helps our cause right there.
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted April 1, 2008 Posted April 1, 2008 I'd never do it, but I suppose if your hometown, which didn't have a team, suddenly gets one, i can't fault you for rooting for them.
Valadius Old-Timey Member Posted April 1, 2008 Posted April 1, 2008 My grandpa's a strange one when it comes to sports. He loves baseball. He was a Yankee fan, then a Mets fan, and now a Marlins fan. He's never liked football but loves basketball. And strangest of all, the past couple of years he's become a hockey fan, specifically a Panthers fan.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 1, 2008 Posted April 1, 2008 That was quite the nice play by both Beltran and Castillo. On to the 10th...
Guest KC Guests Posted April 1, 2008 Posted April 1, 2008 AG, if we go to extra innings we need some "I Don't Mind" please.Thanks.

Guest AG/DC Guests Posted April 1, 2008 Posted April 1, 2008 Strange tag. Castillo had his back sort of facing the centerfielder.
Valadius Old-Timey Member Posted April 1, 2008 Posted April 1, 2008 I'll do you one better. This should inspire a Met rally.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted April 1, 2008 Posted April 1, 2008 "This should inspire a Met rally."Or the arrival of very short people.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted April 1, 2008 Posted April 1, 2008 Thou Shalt Not Fuck With Devo Mojo
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted April 1, 2008 Posted April 1, 2008 seriously, it's not a competition.
