Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted March 28, 2008 Posted March 28, 2008 Rags say he was put on waivers. What is the point of doing that? Do we get to send him to AAA if he clears?
duan Old-Timey Member Posted March 28, 2008 Posted March 28, 2008 by all accounts, he gets to declare himself a free agent if he wants to.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted March 28, 2008 Posted March 28, 2008 Goat to the Braves! Ooops.http://www.nydailynews.com/blogs/mets/2008/03/braves-grab-gotay.html
Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted March 28, 2008 Posted March 28, 2008 Hey, that's OK. I like that the Braves fill their roster with guys not good enough to make our team.
Valadius Old-Timey Member Posted March 28, 2008 Posted March 28, 2008 And this is essentially my reaction:I wish we could've kept him.
Guest Number 6 Guests Posted March 28, 2008 Posted March 28, 2008 Who will be the new number 6? I feel like I'm without a home.
Guest KC Guests Posted March 28, 2008 Posted March 28, 2008 I forgot how amusing that managerial tirade was ... good find.
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted March 28, 2008 Posted March 28, 2008 That's only the first part of that melt down. He eventually crawls on his stomach from behind the mound and then lobs the rosin bag to home plate like a grenade. I think he also tore up another base and threw it before leaving the stadium through the outfiled fence.
Guest KC Guests Posted March 28, 2008 Posted March 28, 2008 You're right, someone with a ruined career should find that NOW!!!
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted March 28, 2008 Posted March 28, 2008 This claims to be the full version, no lobbing the rosin bag here though, I do remember him doing that, I think. The stadium music is brilliant.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted March 28, 2008 Posted March 28, 2008 Mississippi Braves Manager is the one lobbing grenade's. At the 1:44 mark...
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted March 28, 2008 Posted March 28, 2008 Thanks Irish. Watching the initial video that valadius posted, I kept waiting for him to lob the rosin bag and then take another base. I got my managerial meltdowns confused and merged them together.
