Guest themetfairy Guests Posted December 31, 2007 Posted December 31, 2007 As calculated by Greg, we are now officially closer to the start of the Mets 2008 season than we are to the end of the 2007 season. There's a light at the end of the tunnel!
TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted December 31, 2007 Posted December 31, 2007 Thank god!I'm jonesin' for some baseball.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted December 31, 2007 Posted December 31, 2007 So far this has been the easiest offseason ever for me.Last year ended with such a bad taste in my mouth, and nothing has happened this winter to whet my appetite for the new season. So no, I'm not jonesing yet. Maybe by the end of January I will be.I might actually be in Florida this March, with a chance to see the Mets play in St. Lucie or in Fort Myers. That would be a nice way to shorten the offseason a bit.

The Jets have left me craving something to watch with hope.Well, at least Syracuse starts its conference schedule this week. That will help a little.
Elster88 Old-Timey Member Posted January 1, 2008 Posted January 1, 2008 I feel like next year's team is about ten losses more than 2007's team for some reason. I'm not sure that this has a rational basis. So I'm not really looking forward to the season. Also part of it is listening to the idiots that will boo the shit out of Glavine in a game next year. The one that Matt Wise will be starting for us.
Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted January 1, 2008 Posted January 1, 2008 I'm excited. I'm optimistic. I think we bounce back with passion. I think we send Shea out in style. This is going to be our year.
