WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - Wilmington's own Major League Baseball star Trot Nixon came home to showoff his wife's new book.

Trot and Kathryn Nixon were at the Salt Shaker Bookstore on Saturday to sign copies of "The Spirit in Baseball," a children's book written by Kathryn.

Wilmington illustrator, Ana Boudreau, designed all the pictures.

"The Spirit in Baseball" is a faith-based book that took Kathryn about two years to complete.

The book is about fifteen dollars to purchase. There is a Spanish version written as well.

Trot Nixon explains "This is a privilege for us to take what's God has given us and what God has said in the Bible and spread it to as many people as possible."
