Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted October 28, 2007 Posted October 28, 2007 It took seven pitches to get Spilborgh.hawpe is it now. He's had his moments. I'm just hoping he extends the inning enough to turn the lineup over at the start of next inning.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted October 28, 2007 Posted October 28, 2007 Last inning of baseball 2007 roll call. Here!
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted October 28, 2007 Posted October 28, 2007 Ninth inning. We have a Matsui at the Bat situation coming up.But Yorv preceded KazMatAnd so did Jamey C.The former made me vomitThe latter made me pee
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted October 28, 2007 Author Posted October 28, 2007 I always get sad at the last day of baseball for the season.Whether it be the last day of Met baseball (although anger/frustration was more the emotion of the day this year) or of the overall season.Let's see if the Rox can extend it just one more day.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted October 28, 2007 Posted October 28, 2007 Carroll was playing second last inning. I think we missed a Matsui benching or soemthing
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted October 28, 2007 Posted October 28, 2007 wow Carroll almost got it.OK, its up to Seth Smith, or something.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted October 28, 2007 Posted October 28, 2007 Ouch, Jamie. Just a little less conversation and a little more action.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted October 28, 2007 Posted October 28, 2007 Congratulations, Scarlet Hosery.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted October 28, 2007 Posted October 28, 2007 Congrats to the Sox..Oh would Chris fucking Myers stop asking Varitek stupid questions like whick team is better, 04 or this one.....
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted October 28, 2007 Posted October 28, 2007 Not that I care but who's the MVP? They keep showing Manny
Valadius Old-Timey Member Posted October 28, 2007 Posted October 28, 2007 Bah.At least this will make Steinbrenner have a shit-fit.

Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted October 28, 2007 Posted October 28, 2007 I'd have thought maybe Papelbon too but that wasn't part of the Meyers conversation.
stevejrogers Old-Timey Member Posted October 28, 2007 Posted October 28, 2007 Yankees have to redo those "Got Rings?" shirts!HAHAHA!

Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted October 28, 2007 Posted October 28, 2007 I hate the off-season.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted October 29, 2007 Posted October 29, 2007 I would not have guessed Lowell for MVP but then again I would not have guessed he had these post-season numbers, quite guy Lowell.]Lowell hit .333 in the division series, .333 in the American League Championship Series and .400 in the World Series, with a combined 15 runs batted in.Taken from the Times.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted October 29, 2007 Posted October 29, 2007 I think that makes 4 shitty, forgettable World Seriousnesses in a row.07: Boston 4, Roxxx 006: St Loo 4, Detroit 105: Whitesox 4, Ass-tros 004: Redsox 4, Cardinals 003 was an OK series, with the Marlins beating the Yanks, but no 2001. It's been since 02 (Giants-Angels) where we had a game 7.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted October 29, 2007 Author Posted October 29, 2007 The whole post-season had a total of 28 games, barely more than the 24 game minimum and well below the 41 game possible max.Aside from the Bost-Cleve semis going the distance, the seriously, I just used a racist word when I really meant "Guardians" losing a game to the Yanx in round 1 was the only other non-sweep.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted October 29, 2007 Posted October 29, 2007 I blame Dane Cook.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted October 29, 2007 Posted October 29, 2007 An extended series would have gone into November for the first time since 2001.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted October 29, 2007 Posted October 29, 2007 I don't mind that MLB and the networks made less money for fewer games.
