Guest User 362 Guests Posted October 4, 2007 Posted October 4, 2007 As the data shows, Willie Randolph has never had a winning record in September with the Mets. Given that September is often the most important month for a team in a pennant race, the Mets inability to win in September can result in disaster, as occurred this season. Why hasn't Willie been able to win in September?
smg58 Old-Timey Member Posted October 4, 2007 Posted October 4, 2007 We've had a lot of the same players the last three years, and certainly the last two, so I see no reason to single out the manager.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted October 4, 2007 Posted October 4, 2007 Sometimes numbers and stats get annoying, in 2006 the Mets were so far a head so maybe that's why they played .500 baseball, plus being so far ahead they were able to play September call ups, this year they were against the wall and didn't respond.
