Guest Kid Carsey Guests Posted October 3, 2007 Posted October 3, 2007 Big Papi says, "I don't care who we're playing" and says hello to The Dykstra Pole with a ding dong.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted October 3, 2007 Posted October 3, 2007 Old friend Ted Robinson doing the game on TBS.
Guest Kid Carsey Guests Posted October 3, 2007 Posted October 3, 2007 I like(d) Ted, very pleasant to listen to. Beckett has been untouchable through six (I think it's six).
Guest Kid Carsey Guests Posted October 3, 2007 Posted October 3, 2007 Complete game shut out. Yeah, I've heard of those. Nice.
A Boy Named Seo Old-Timey Member Posted October 3, 2007 Posted October 3, 2007 What's the difference between a get-me-over breaking ball, and like, a breaking ball?

Methead Old-Timey Member Posted October 5, 2007 Posted October 5, 2007 Manny smokes a ball into Boston Harbor to win Game 2.Combined with Cleveland's walk-off win, tonight has been some great baseball to watch. But these two dramatic victories have me asking myself, how come our team can't do that?

A Boy Named Seo Old-Timey Member Posted October 7, 2007 Posted October 7, 2007 I feel like I've now seen every episode of 15 seasons of Frank TV, and I just want to break a lamp over his head every time I hear him do Madden.
Valadius Old-Timey Member Posted October 7, 2007 Posted October 7, 2007 Red Sox have dealt possibly the finishing blow to the Halos. 9-0 Sawx in the 8th.
Guest Kid Carsey Guests Posted October 7, 2007 Posted October 7, 2007 Seo: >>>seen every episode of 15 seasons of Frank TV, and I just want to break a lamp over his head<<<Amen, brother. I was joking while we were eating that all these sweeps area blessing in disguise so we don't have to watch any more commercials for a couple of days (if the Yanks cooperate) for this bozo's show that doesn'teven start until late November.
Valadius Old-Timey Member Posted October 7, 2007 Posted October 7, 2007 Having been a fan of Frank Caliendo's for a few years now, I'm excited for his new show, but come on, TBS. This is extreme over-saturation of these commercials.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted October 7, 2007 Posted October 7, 2007 I had declared myself neutral in this series before it started. If the Yanx lose theirs I was going to root for the seriously, I just used a racist word when I really meant "Guardians" no matter who won this one, and if the Yanx win I was going to root FOR the Sox/LAA winner. In part I was hoping that the Angels would prevail simply because they scare the Yanx so thouroughly while Boston spends too much time acting like ... well, Boston. I could also do without the massive media orgasm over yet another Yanx/Sawx tilt. But it's better that it's turning out this way because LAA just looks too beat up. Vlad isn't totally healthy; Gary Mathews isn't even on the roster; Garrett Anderson is now out as is Casey Kotchman. So it's Boston that looks like it'll give Cleveland a better series if they come through, or be better anti-NYY insurance if those pinhead Native Americans manage to somehow blow the next three.* Rusty!!!!
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted October 7, 2007 Posted October 7, 2007 If we are talking about Frank, then their job is well done.Even if its bad publicity.Franks fantastically talented but I can see just from the commercials he's gonna need a good team of writers. BOOM!I'm gonna tempt the gods of baseball by sticking a fondue fork in the Angels before the fat lady even starts tuning up.
