. . . and now, we're not, so much.

What an embarassing end to the season this is turning out to be.

Okay, I suggested Santana only because Doc seems to be injury prone.

You're welcome to keep that conversation over there.

Last thing I care about is what the other boards are cranking about.

Giving up more runs doesn't really fit into my comeback plans.

Glavine's been knocked around his last three starts. Think he's hurt?

You mean there's another board you could be hanging at?
You don't have to feel the need to multi-task just for us.
That board sounds more like your crowd Steve.

The only other player who could even possibly fill Reye's shoes, and well I'm loath to say, is playing short right now for those damn fish.
And Reyes should grow to be as good as him, if not better.

Rollins has shown he's a top 3 NL shortstop too.
But Reyes is STILL a top 3 NL shortstop, even with the emergence of Hardy and Tulowitzki.

You don't deal a top 3 NL shortstop Steve.
Reyes will grow.
Go pass that on to that other board.

Darling said Glavine was keeping his ball down and off the strikezone, and doing that well, but his pitches didn't have enough bite on em to keep the opposing bats off em.
That may have been spot on.

Glavine did not groove any pitches, but they were so easy to reach I think I could have hit him today if I just kept my eyes on the ball.

I'd knock Green in there for Conine now.

Might be Conine's last at-bat. Nice career.

F'in Austin Kearns, who hit those 3 run homers against the Mets, just hit into a DP with 2 on.

Mets game in dis thread.

Grat job by Smith.

They're bringing in Feliciano for one batter. Why not double-switch in Green?

Radio guys implying that the umps are not quite being fair to the Mets.

I think West's confusing call set the whole tone for Glavine's outing, but I'm sure many will say that Glavine was not going to have it today in any case.
I think if that 1st at bat went differently, this game goes differently.

And ya know what?
Dat'sAbaseball.

Milledge lacking the soul there.

New pitcher. Let's jump all over him.

Gary, who are these "Jets" you speak of?

Dickhead friend just called me, sparing me I suppose an hour or two of
more agony later. Still a dickhead.

OE: about the Jets

Reyes pop up for the third out of the sixth inning. Wow, there's a surprise.

Marlins 8 Zombies 1 through six innings at Shea.

Seems like the offense is already in clean-out-the-locker mode.

Wonder if the Astros would want him for Oswalt?
