An Atlanta hot streak seems to be the Mets best hope for fending off the Phillies. The Braves have Hudson and Smoltz going in the next two games in Philadelphia.

Unfortunately, the Mets sure aren't doing anything to earn a playoff spot right now. Sooner or later, the Mets have to win a few games if they really wish to be in the postseason. I'm really starting to wonder if they are up to the task.
