Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted September 22, 2007 Posted September 22, 2007 Updates:Beltran in the lineup.Milledge dropped the appeal, serving the suspension starting today.Wagner could pitch today but they will avoid him if possible. All as per John Delcos' blog for the Journal News.

Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted September 22, 2007 Posted September 22, 2007 Wow, Carlos B., sacking it up, despite what Cleon says.
Valadius Old-Timey Member Posted September 22, 2007 Posted September 22, 2007 Again, the dude broke his fucking face and came back to play relatively quickly. He plays through his injuries.

Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted September 22, 2007 Posted September 22, 2007 Wright gets us on the board!yeaaaaaaababy.
Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted September 22, 2007 Posted September 22, 2007 Another error. I'm not bummed that we're playing two series with these guys before the season ends.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted September 22, 2007 Posted September 22, 2007 We better be gettin that same inside corner that Kim is.I wanna see Perez put it there ASAP too.2-0 US
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted September 22, 2007 Posted September 22, 2007 Very encouraging so far.
Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted September 22, 2007 Posted September 22, 2007 Ollie looks to be on today.Would be cool if he could go deep and give the pen a rest.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted September 22, 2007 Posted September 22, 2007 I do believe Green took that one for the team.He could have gotten out of the way,...he was out of the way. Then just dropped his knee a little bit so the pitch would hit him.Come on Castro. Keep it goin'.
TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted September 22, 2007 Posted September 22, 2007 Sweet, Ramon goes KABOOM.5-0 good guys.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted September 22, 2007 Posted September 22, 2007 Don't Wright look very Pythonish in that kaboom?Twitish of the yearish?
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted September 22, 2007 Posted September 22, 2007 Wright's scattershot arm is troublesome at times.
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted September 22, 2007 Posted September 22, 2007 Random OOTS notes:JJ Hardy broke up a Smoltz no-hitter with a 2-run homer. Still the only Brew Crew hit, 2-2 in the bottom of the 7th.Toronto had a 3-2 lead over the Yanks but then gave up 4 runs in the bottom of the 6th...only to get 5 in the top of the 7th off the Yanks' pen. 8-6 Toronto, top of the 7th.
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted September 22, 2007 Posted September 22, 2007 Perez: first pitch strikes to 16 of 21 batters today. Very happy with that.
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted September 22, 2007 Posted September 22, 2007 Wright does have a scattershot arm at times, but his hitting is most effective when he scattering the hits to all fileds as he has been this month.
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted September 22, 2007 Posted September 22, 2007 Intentional walk to Beltran and now Alou gets plunked. Bases are juiced for big Carlos.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted September 22, 2007 Posted September 22, 2007 Dad's draws the loaded walk.Is it possible to break a game open when you are leading 6-1.Is it already broken open?
Guest Kid Carsey Guests Posted September 22, 2007 Posted September 22, 2007 I understand what Tim means, but do we need a requiem for Mets when they're up 7-1? I counted at least four Yankee ^%$* sucking by him to-day as well.Just venting.
Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted September 22, 2007 Posted September 22, 2007 Just got back!Glad Alou got that last at-bat to extend the streat! And Ollie loots to be giving the bully the day off. If he come out now, maybe Willie will at least give it to one of the call-ups.
Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted September 22, 2007 Posted September 22, 2007 ...and Mr. Gomez, do not try to steal third again....
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted September 22, 2007 Posted September 22, 2007 Fantasmagoricaltastical performance Oliver Perez.
