soupcan Old-Timey Member Posted September 18, 2007 Posted September 18, 2007 7-4.These Mets are maddening!
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted September 18, 2007 Posted September 18, 2007 St Loo two.Phils one.in the 2nd.Cole Hamels will be limited to 65 pitches in that contest.
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted September 18, 2007 Posted September 18, 2007 Gameday states that Moises Alou left game due to a leg injury. That's not good. The Nationals continue to tee off on John Maine as Kearns singles to drive in yet another run. Mets lead cut to 7-5 and the Nationals are in the midst of a rally.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted September 18, 2007 Posted September 18, 2007 I'm going to have a lot of unexpected free time in October.
Guest Mendoza Line Guests Posted September 18, 2007 Posted September 18, 2007 Jeezus. That's two nights in a row that I left the office with the Mets in the lead and got home in time to watch them blow it.
Guest holychicken Guests Posted September 18, 2007 Posted September 18, 2007 You have GOT to be fucking kidding me. I can't take this shit anymore.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted September 18, 2007 Posted September 18, 2007 youhave got tobe kidding me...Belliard?Come ON!
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted September 18, 2007 Posted September 18, 2007 Incredible. Ronnie Belliard clears the bases with a three run home run to left. The Mets now trail by a score of 8-7. Maine must have slept through the players only meeting.
Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted September 18, 2007 Posted September 18, 2007 So bad it's almost good. I mean, wow.
Guest Kid Carsey Guests Posted September 18, 2007 Posted September 18, 2007 I almost hope they blow the season and the Yanks win it all. It'll give me something to mumble about at the home this team is about to send me to.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted September 18, 2007 Posted September 18, 2007 Schoeneweis will take over for Maine.Oy.Actually he's the only one gettin it done the last few.But seeing Maine get beaten up like this is very distressing.Hearing that Alou may have hurt his leg again compounds that.Schoeneweis gets the DP grounder.Good job dude.Unbelievably 8-7.

Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted September 18, 2007 Posted September 18, 2007 Umm...The Cardinals just took a 2-1 lead over the Phillies in the bottom of the third inning in St. Louis.Sorry, that's the best I can do.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted September 18, 2007 Posted September 18, 2007 I didn't see that homer by Belliard, but I think I can picture the blast by fat ass in the playoffs last year in its place.Cards are threatening the Phils in the 3rd, 2 on, 1 out.

Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted September 18, 2007 Posted September 18, 2007 St. Louis scores another. Our best hope is to have the Phillies lose 11 games the rest of the way.
Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted September 18, 2007 Posted September 18, 2007 Son of a ....I go help my son with his homework and we're up 5-2 and come back to THIS? What the hell?
Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted September 18, 2007 Posted September 18, 2007 And even worse, my posting player is Mike DeJean, a total stiff!Man, when Maine melts down, he really loses it.
Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted September 18, 2007 Posted September 18, 2007 And bleeping Schoenweis is COMPLETELY worthless!
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted September 18, 2007 Posted September 18, 2007 ="Nymr83"]="Rockin' Doc"]Maine must have slept through the players only meeting.Post of the day.Schoeneweis can't keep em down.Hard to believe we led this game 4-0 after one.9-7 them.
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted September 18, 2007 Posted September 18, 2007 Marty Nobles at MLB.com has this regarding Alou's early departure tonight.Tight quad forces Alou's departureVeteran leaves Mets-Nats contest in top of fifth inningWASHINGTON -- Moises Alou, who's missed a significant chunk of the season because of a severely strained left quadricep, was removed from the game on Tuesday night because of what the Mets termed as "tightness" in the same muscle.Alou walked off the field with trainer Ray Ramirez in the fifth inning after advancing to second base on an infield out. He had also been on base in the first inning during the Mets' four-run rally. Alou also extended his hitting streak to 22 games with a single.Alou, 41 and oft-injured, was assigned to the disabled list from May 13-July 27.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted September 18, 2007 Posted September 18, 2007 I pictured Val sitting there in the 1st inning, telling everyone around him, "Now these are the Mets folks,..this is my first place team."Now I picture him hiding his head under the seat.Mota gets us out of that inning.Milledge will face Rivera to start the 7th.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted September 18, 2007 Posted September 18, 2007 ="Rockin' Doc"]Tight quad forces Alou's departureVeteran leaves Mets-Nats contest in top of fifth inningThis hits me right in the nutz. Metswise,fantasywise.Ugh.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted September 18, 2007 Posted September 18, 2007 Munez relieves Rivera.Willie counters.Conine bats for Endy.
Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted September 18, 2007 Posted September 18, 2007 This is the only reason to have Conine.
Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted September 18, 2007 Posted September 18, 2007 I'd have preferred a 2-run HR but nice.2 on, 2 out, for Castro to pinch hit.Now is the time with Rauch and Cordero waiting for the 8th & 9th.Now a righty to come in and hurl and perhaps we see The Goat PH for Castro.
