Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted September 11, 2007 Posted September 11, 2007 It is early. And this Brave pitcher is named Buddy Carlyle.Sounds like a 1950's teenage heart throb, not a pitcher.Beltran hears us.Doubles to start the Mets 4th.

I missed it
Guest Mendoza Line Guests Posted September 11, 2007 Posted September 11, 2007 A doofus in an orange cap sitting in the front row did a Steve Bartman impression on a foul ball that Wright might have caught.

I missed it?During Kelly Johnson's AB, he pop-fouled one into the front row behind third base, but several fans, including a fat scumbag in an orange hat felt it was their play and got in the way. Johnson later had a 2-run single and scored.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted September 11, 2007 Posted September 11, 2007 How cool is it to have Lo Duca hitting? How totally right were the Mets to disable him when he didn't want to go?
Valadius Old-Timey Member Posted September 11, 2007 Posted September 11, 2007 CONINE THE BARBARIAN!!!!!One of my all-time favorite clips
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted September 11, 2007 Posted September 11, 2007 I never get sound from YouTube MB vid clips. Is there something I have to enable to do so?Pelfrey in to stick his thumb in the dam.Phils are losing to the Rockies, 5-0.
Valadius Old-Timey Member Posted September 11, 2007 Posted September 11, 2007 So apparently Lo Duca went KABOOM while my page was refreshing. Now Pelfrey comes on to pitch the fifth.
seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted September 11, 2007 Posted September 11, 2007 I don't know that Wright would have caught that ball. And hey, even if we lose this game, it's a meaningless game to a pathetic third-place team.

Valadius Old-Timey Member Posted September 11, 2007 Posted September 11, 2007 I want Kevin Mulvey up here now. I don't want to wait another year or so.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted September 11, 2007 Posted September 11, 2007 Pelfrey may have injured his thumb trying to stop the leak.I Kid, but, Braves plate another.10-3,BlahsPelfrey tossed 32 pitches in that inning :s.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted September 11, 2007 Posted September 11, 2007 Reyes leads off the 5th with his second double of the game .Maybe Carlyle will be taught the lesson that being a teenage heart throb is such a fleeting thing.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted September 11, 2007 Posted September 11, 2007 Wright draws a walk--Beltran Ks in a big spot there. The Prince of Milwaukee smacks his 44th homer in Pittsburg.Man, he's been kaboomin all over the place lately.I don't like that,...don't like it a bit.Alou grounds out and it stays, 10-3.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted September 11, 2007 Posted September 11, 2007 COLLAZO is in. Spelled correctly. Charlie Samuels got the memo.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted September 11, 2007 Posted September 11, 2007 Third double of the game for Reyes .
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted September 11, 2007 Posted September 11, 2007 Wright does drive in Reyes with a screaming double (There's the run I was counting earlier .Rollins pops his 27th dinger in Philly, and the MVP candidates are firing on all cylinders tonight.J-Roll owns a OPS of .877 going into tonights game. I went looking for actual total bases by him but I can't find this.I do believe he is far and away leading the N.L. in that dept.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted September 11, 2007 Posted September 11, 2007 As Im not paying attention, Collazo morphs into the fat lady and allows 3 more Brave runs.
seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted September 11, 2007 Posted September 11, 2007 No matter what the score, the topic of Keith Hernandez Eating Ice Cream comes up during every broadcast.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted September 11, 2007 Posted September 11, 2007 Given 15 innings, I'm sure we could catch these guys.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted September 11, 2007 Posted September 11, 2007 So, did they wear adjustable hats in previous years?
Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted September 11, 2007 Posted September 11, 2007 Oh yeah. Always adjustable.
seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted September 11, 2007 Posted September 11, 2007 And now Keith is pegging fans with Tootsie Pops.

Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted September 11, 2007 Posted September 11, 2007 Gah--well, we ain't gonna win em all and who will remember this game in 3 weeks. Not I.
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted September 11, 2007 Posted September 11, 2007 I was initially irritated to find that the Mets were playing the Braves and TBS wasn't airing the game. However, after reading through this thread I guess I should count that as a good thing. Nice to read that Reyes had a good game at the plate. I would really like to see him get back on track before the postseason gets started.

Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted September 11, 2007 Posted September 11, 2007 And the heart throb Carlyle don't get the win, Moylan does.
