Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted September 8, 2007 Posted September 8, 2007 Well, you can all turn off the recording devices now.
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted September 8, 2007 Posted September 8, 2007 Well, that didn't take long.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted September 8, 2007 Posted September 8, 2007 Glavine makes quick work of it: double play-line out.Inning ovah!
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted September 8, 2007 Posted September 8, 2007 Glavine gives up the single to Ransom, then gets a ground ball by the catcher for the double play. One pitch takes care of the pitcher. Glavine has only thrown 69 pitches in the six innings of work.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted September 8, 2007 Posted September 8, 2007 Mets go harmlessly in their half of the 6th.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted September 8, 2007 Posted September 8, 2007 Glavine with a nice 1-2-3 7th, tho Berkman almost reached him with a loooong fly out to right to end the inning.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted September 8, 2007 Posted September 8, 2007 Reyes and Wright ground out to third sandwiching a Castillo strikeout and it remains:3-0 Mets
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted September 8, 2007 Posted September 8, 2007 Glavine still on in the 8th, and he has faced the minimum amount of batters thru 7.Carlos Lee strokes a single to lead off the 8th.Lets get that DP and keep thing in order.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted September 8, 2007 Posted September 8, 2007 Loretta follows with a single.Ty Wigginton has a chance to cancel out some nice Met memories here.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted September 8, 2007 Posted September 8, 2007 But he wont be doing that against Glavine, who's done for the day.Heilman will come on.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted September 8, 2007 Posted September 8, 2007 Wiggy only is able to cancel out one Met memory with an RBI single.Come on Aaron.GeTeRdUn
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted September 8, 2007 Posted September 8, 2007 Heilman with a BIG strikeout of Asstro pinch hitter Luke Warm Scott.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted September 8, 2007 Posted September 8, 2007 And then he Ks Munson for out # 2!!!!!!we can get out of this with minimal damage.*crosses fingers
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted September 8, 2007 Posted September 8, 2007 YES!!!!!!!!!Aaron strikesout pinch hitter Lamb to get out of it!!!Heilman GETSitDONE!
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted September 8, 2007 Posted September 8, 2007 Nice "save" by Heilman -- A bloop then 3 straight KsA bit of a quick hook for Glavine if you ask me. You wouldn't think he was tired and the final hit which knocked him out was a soft bloop ... but I can't complain about the outcome.
