Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted September 2, 2007 Posted September 2, 2007 I think the trick for now is Alou is fifth against lefties and Delgado against righties.
Elster88 Old-Timey Member Posted September 2, 2007 Posted September 2, 2007 I'm guessing he's going for Delgado-Alou-Green and Alou-Delgado-Milledge......which I guess is essentially the same thing
Guest Kid Carsey Guests Posted September 2, 2007 Posted September 2, 2007 I forget the numbers, but they said on the pre-game that Green has somereally good ones versus Smoltz if I half-heard correctly.
Guest Kid Carsey Guests Posted September 2, 2007 Posted September 2, 2007 Thanks Gary, 12 for his last 17.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted September 2, 2007 Posted September 2, 2007 We can't lose to these red-shirted pretenders. We just can't.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted September 2, 2007 Posted September 2, 2007 Wright had a play at the plate there, didn't he?
Guest Kid Carsey Guests Posted September 2, 2007 Posted September 2, 2007 Wright seemingly has his head up his ass early on. He (I'm assuming it washis fault and not Castillo's) missed a hit and run sign before and that play atplate cost the Mets a run too. Thankfully, the Mets are only down 1 - sniffleafter two.
Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted September 2, 2007 Posted September 2, 2007 Rats! That should've been a bigger inning. I'll take what we can get against Smoltz though.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted September 2, 2007 Posted September 2, 2007 Nice to get a run home with Glavine up in the big slot.Wright saw the play at home in front of him. I wonder if somebody yelled for him to go to second.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted September 2, 2007 Posted September 2, 2007 Good at-bat for Green, but he grounds to first.Lo Duca with them on first and third and one out. No DPs is what he must think.
Guest OlerudOwned Guests Posted September 2, 2007 Posted September 2, 2007 Thinking and doing are two very different things.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted September 2, 2007 Posted September 2, 2007 Is that 12 straight for Glavine?
Guest Kid Carsey Guests Posted September 2, 2007 Posted September 2, 2007 Wright pulls head out, hits a KABOOM to dead center.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted September 2, 2007 Posted September 2, 2007 Beltraan says Ill settle for two!Delgado says bring it!on edit: no error on that Reyes pop, tho it was a major gaffaw, haw, haw. Not all here, and not all watchin game either
Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted September 2, 2007 Posted September 2, 2007 Out of the jam! Take that, Larry!
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted September 2, 2007 Posted September 2, 2007 Hit by Texeria but a great throw by Alou to get him at second base, nice tag by castillio....could I implore my fellow CPFers to give the game score now and then....cheers.3 - 1 Mets.
Guest Kid Carsey Guests Posted September 2, 2007 Posted September 2, 2007 Side note, that was a pretty crappy slice by Teixiera. 3-1 Irish, at the ...
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted September 2, 2007 Posted September 2, 2007 Willie out to the mound...WTF
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted September 2, 2007 Posted September 2, 2007 Glavine pulled with Julio Franco the pinch hitter.gotta say this is a surprise.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted September 2, 2007 Posted September 2, 2007 Bad call on the checked swing.Glavine pitches away. Franco hits away. Defensible move.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted September 2, 2007 Posted September 2, 2007 Three quickies by Sosa, with two Ks. Excellent.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted September 2, 2007 Posted September 2, 2007 Very nice by Sosa....Beltran with a lead off walk.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted September 2, 2007 Posted September 2, 2007 Alou tossed as he gets called on a check swing...first base ump tossed him first then the home plate ump.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted September 2, 2007 Posted September 2, 2007 Compare Franco's swing to Alou's and that was a ridiculous call.Throw him out? Good, we were going to lift him for defense anyhow.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted September 2, 2007 Posted September 2, 2007 have a happy,safe holiday weekend all!and
