Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 28, 2007 Posted August 28, 2007 Joe West still as pleasent as ever I see.

Guest Kid Carsey Guests Posted August 28, 2007 Posted August 28, 2007 Saving comment for my off-season essay on ONLINE IRONY.
Guest Kid Carsey Guests Posted August 28, 2007 Posted August 28, 2007 Lo Duca = Double Play to end the Mets fourth.
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted August 28, 2007 Posted August 28, 2007 2- 0, good guys at the end of 5.I wouldn't mind a small outburst of 3-4 runs in the Mets top of the 6th.
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted August 28, 2007 Posted August 28, 2007 Let's make him pay for plunking one of our guys.
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted August 28, 2007 Posted August 28, 2007 According to Gameday's display, Delgado swung at balls 4, 5, & 6 before flying out on the only actual strike he saw from Eaton. Of course, his fly out was apparently 2 rows into the rightfield stands according to Gameday, so it's hard to say how accurate their pitch charting actually is.
Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted August 28, 2007 Posted August 28, 2007 Psst: We didn't really miss LoDuca.

A little patience and the Mets would have had bases loaded.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted August 28, 2007 Posted August 28, 2007 Not that Joe West ("We close our eyes!") is guaranteed to call ball four. But taking a strike would be a good play.Phils rallying. We only need one more inning here, Tom.
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted August 28, 2007 Posted August 28, 2007 Glavine's only a few hits away from surpassing both Delgado and LoDuca in hitting for the season.Actually, with today's hit, Glavine is 11 of 47 on the season. If he gets a hit in his next at bat he actually will pass Delgado's averge for the season. Luckily for Delgado, Willie will likely pinch hit for Glavine when his spot rolls around next inning.
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted August 28, 2007 Posted August 28, 2007 We need an inning ending GIDP here. Come on Rowand, I know you have it in you.
Guest Kid Carsey Guests Posted August 28, 2007 Posted August 28, 2007 It's a bird, it's a plane, IT'S ENDY cutting in front of a fly about to drop infront of Carlos for the catch and gun to the cut-off near the mound!
Guest Kid Carsey Guests Posted August 28, 2007 Posted August 28, 2007 I think Gary just said that Glavine explitived himself out of the sixth.

Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted August 28, 2007 Posted August 28, 2007 Glavine coming to the plate again. And hitting.Kid Carsey is ranked with my man, Jim Beauchamp. Good show.
Elster88 Old-Timey Member Posted August 28, 2007 Posted August 28, 2007 I forgot how fast Endy was until I saw that play KC mentioned.
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted August 28, 2007 Posted August 28, 2007 KC - "It's a bird, it's a plane, IT'S ENDY cutting in front of a fly about to drop in front of Carlos for the catch and gun to the cut-off near the mound!"I didn't actually see the play, but from your description, I'm guessing there's no way Green (nor Milledge) makes that run saving play.
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted August 28, 2007 Posted August 28, 2007 The Phanatic is pretty good, I think Mr. Met could kick his ass. One head butt and it's lights out for the Phanatic.
Elster88 Old-Timey Member Posted August 28, 2007 Posted August 28, 2007 The Phanatic fucks with the opposing team and fans a lot. Mr. Met doesn't really do that. He's got a different game.I agree he could beat the Phanatic's ass though.
