Guest Kid Carsey Guests Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 Mets up 2-sniffle on another Alou ding-dong. Lastings out with flu-like symp-toms, Green at first for Delgado who is a little hobbled, and Marlon in right.Lawrence on the hill.
Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 Big 2 out seeing-eye single for Lawrence after Anderson & DiFelice fail to scoop the poop with 0 out and sacks juicy. Then Reyes walks finishing Tony Armless Jr. with 5 runs in 2.2 IP
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 Friar Lawrence has them no-hit through three, leads off the fourth with a walk, opens LaRoche with a ball, and DiFelice comes to chat.Dunno what DiFelice said, but LaRoche hit the next ball a mile.Five-two, Mets.
Guest Mendoza Line Guests Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 So I'm driving home from the office and listening to the game and it's 5-0. Then I open my door, flip on the TV and Adam LaRoche homers.I'm gonna go do laundry or Simpsonize Phillip Humber or something.
Farmer Ted Old-Timey Member Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 Brian Lawrence, professional hitter.
Guest cooby Guests Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 Jack Clark with the ball inside the jersey trick
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 Nice leaping grab by Sanchez. Beltan would have been 4-5.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 Performing after the game at PNC: Styx.

Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 Tying runs on for the Pittsenbourgers.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 Bay drives one home. Tying guy on second.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 Heilman freezes up.Bases loaded, no out.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 First pitch ties it up.Bullpen blues.
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 Bases are still juiced with Pirates and no outs.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 Phew. Win or lose, the bullpen is shot for the very important, must win (to me) Nationals series.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 And we get all three outs with the bases loaded and nobody else scoring. So, Lawrence won't get the win. Another will.ANOTHER WILL!
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 Jeez, Jack Wilson is out of the game with an asthma attack. Can anything else bad happen to this guy? Trade him to another loving team NOW!!!!
Guest Kid Carsey Guests Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 Heilman going back out for the bottom of the ninth ... let's bring the leather.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 Delgado, Milledge, and Easley remain on the bench, awaiting the opportunity to punish.Wright... with one of his ol' ninth-inning errors. Had the ball stuck on the previous play also.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 Holy crap. Why'd they pitch to LaRoche with Bay on deck?
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 Thanks a f'in lot David Wright. And if DeFelice catches the ball, no runs score. They're playing a crap team, lead by 5, and can't put it away. Pathetic.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 Oh, come on. What a terrible decison by Alou.
Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 Someone tell me why we're losing to the Pirates!
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 David Wright opened the gates with an error.

Mota should be released before tomorrow's game and a fresh arm brought in (no, I don't have any bright ideas about who that might be but he'll be better than Sosa).
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 At least those that showed up half way through the game for the Styx show will be happy. Why is DeFelice hitting? I guess Delgado can't go.
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 Outside of Wagner, I have virtually no faith in the ability of our relievers to get people out.
Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 Horrible. Absolutely horrible.I know it's good to take 2 of 3, but dammit, we had this one in the bag. Terrible.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 if we can't pinch-hit for DiFelice here, we don't have a full roster.K.
