Guest iramets Guests Posted July 27, 2007 Posted July 27, 2007 They still need to flush everyone out of the building by 4 PM or so, don't they? Because how do you tell thousands of people expecting to be admitted at 5:40 to cool their jets while the first game is going into the 16th, 17th, 18th etc. inning?OTOH, what can they do if it's tied up and you've got 30,000 or so fans in the parking lot? Suspend the game and try again later in the season?
Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted July 27, 2007 Posted July 27, 2007 I think day-night doubleheaders are an abomination.
Guest iramets Guests Posted July 28, 2007 Posted July 28, 2007 Also, why don't they try something cool and schedule the first game to start in the morning? A 10 AM start-time (in late July) would probably result in the best weather all day.
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2007 Posted July 28, 2007 I've always wondered that myself. Seems like there could be a total clusterf*ck if that first game went over.Of course, it looks like at least one of the games could well get rained out today, so the concern may well be moot.
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2007 Posted July 28, 2007 I just checked and the Nationals are also off on Monday. Wouldn't it be sensible to just play on Monday?
