metirish Old-Timey Member Posted July 5, 2007 Posted July 5, 2007 Bidge - 2B...that's not meant to be Lidge is it..has he given up pitching?
Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted July 5, 2007 Posted July 5, 2007 Reyes: first triple since June 2.
seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted July 5, 2007 Posted July 5, 2007 Ledee: First RBI since Little League.
Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted July 5, 2007 Posted July 5, 2007 Remember when Jason Jennings destroyed us? Hit a few homers and shut us out... it might have been his 1st or 2nd career start. His ass has become really enormous.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 5, 2007 Posted July 5, 2007 Not that either of those first two ABs were Pence's (CF) or Berkmna's (1B) fault ... but Houston is a bad fielding team in that they've got about 5 guys on the field at one time whose best position is LF/DH/1B(and, once again, we don't know our enemy as well as we should)
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 5, 2007 Posted July 5, 2007 two in the top of the 1st ... will probably be our last as per recent trends.

Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted July 5, 2007 Posted July 5, 2007 ]His first MLB start...only pitcher in history to throw a compete game shutout and hit a homer in his maiden game...thanks Gary.I don't believe Gary shared that xtra tidbit about the size of Jennings' caboose.CPF: You get the whole story here.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted July 5, 2007 Posted July 5, 2007 So Gary brings up the Rockies series and they show a clip of Willie talking about it,his usual cool self, then Keith spends five minutes talking aobut the fucking yankees and how they handle things...who gives a shit man.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 5, 2007 Posted July 5, 2007 Don't worry 'bout leaving them bases loaded like that Carlos ... it's not like we're gonna need those runs later or anything.
Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted July 5, 2007 Posted July 5, 2007 Maine looks extra crispy tonight.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted July 5, 2007 Posted July 5, 2007 Delgado with warning track power...double of the wall...430 foot away.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 5, 2007 Posted July 5, 2007 Pence actually caught one of Ryan Howard's drive on that hill the other day, right up against one of those flag poles.Just Delgado's luck tho huh? Hit's one 430+ and gets only a double.
Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted July 5, 2007 Posted July 5, 2007 Not for nothing but if Delgado would only improve a lot of our other issues would go away. I said the same thing about my complexion in high school.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted July 5, 2007 Posted July 5, 2007 Valentin hustling. Important run he brings home.
Farmer Ted Old-Timey Member Posted July 5, 2007 Posted July 5, 2007 Astros announcers tell me that the Mets are 17-8 when Rastro is in the lineup.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted July 5, 2007 Posted July 5, 2007 Aflac trivia in Houston. Fonzie is the answer.
Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted July 5, 2007 Posted July 5, 2007 It turned Seventeen to Thirteen.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted July 5, 2007 Posted July 5, 2007 I'm glad that bouncer down the third-base line wasn't the first hit.The gain of Maine makes LaRussa look insane.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted July 5, 2007 Posted July 5, 2007 And the guy form teh Pirates won his ninth game today...did LaRussa actually get to pick Oswalt...Young won the online vote.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted July 5, 2007 Posted July 5, 2007 All of a sudden, Luke Scott is Joe Rudi.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted July 5, 2007 Posted July 5, 2007 I know he was once a top prospect, and maybe he's a wunnerful guy or something, but I fear no team that puts Eric Munson in uniform. He symbolizes more than anybody (even Easley) those awful Tiger teams of the early eighties.I nonetheless applaud Houston for returning him to catcher after all these years. It's like he's finally realizing the legacy of his name.
