The altercation started when Darryl Strawberry charged Braves pitcher David Palmer after he was hit by a pitch. Identifiable are from left on the ground are Ron Darling, Keith Hernandez (tackling Palmer) and Rick Aguilera of the Mets and Palmer and Billy Sample (reaching for Aguilera) of the Braves.
