Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted June 12, 2007 Posted June 12, 2007 The last Kuo-Maine matchup turned on an error by Wright and Reyes getting caught stealing 3rd in the first inning. Oh and Maine allowed a few HRs. Crappy night.http://www.getalifealready.com/cpf/archives/4500/f14_t4569.shtml
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted June 12, 2007 Posted June 12, 2007 Wright's 500th hit.Wonder who was the fastest to 500 as a Met. (Wright took 445 games).
Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted June 12, 2007 Posted June 12, 2007 As buttly as we've been playing recently it's really satisfying to see Wright doing things well. Nice hit, great steal, good read and we lead.
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted June 12, 2007 Posted June 12, 2007 Wright has been the Mets only consistent offensive performer the past week or two. He can't do it by himself as the Mets record of late proves.
Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted June 12, 2007 Posted June 12, 2007 For the love of Ed Glynn...Meltdown
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted June 12, 2007 Posted June 12, 2007 Gee, John, thanks for keeping that first pitch to Furball in the park.
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted June 12, 2007 Posted June 12, 2007 7-8-9 homer against the Mets... FUCK
Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted June 12, 2007 Posted June 12, 2007 The pitcher?????Can we blame the SI cover jinx?
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted June 12, 2007 Posted June 12, 2007 That's fucked up,and all big blows....no cheapies...
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted June 12, 2007 Posted June 12, 2007 Last opposing pitcher HR vs. the Mets was Willis' grand slam against Lima, I think.
Batty31 Old-Timey Member Posted June 12, 2007 Posted June 12, 2007 I'm all for blaming the SI cover curse.
Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted June 12, 2007 Posted June 12, 2007 someone remind Cargo who bunts are for.
Guest vtmet Guests Posted June 12, 2007 Posted June 12, 2007 The trend continues...Mets haven't won a game with LoDuca catching since May 31st...Luckily, tomorrow is a Sosa start, which should mean that Shrek catches (both June victories were with Castro catching)...
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted June 12, 2007 Posted June 12, 2007 I still would like to see LoDuca hit in the second spot for a few games. Willie seems tdetermined to bat everybody (and anybody) other than LoDuca there. Of course, I like to see the two Carloses get their bats going.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 12, 2007 Posted June 12, 2007 WOULD SOMEONE GET A FUCKING HIT?!?!?

Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted June 12, 2007 Posted June 12, 2007 Who in the world works the TV booth alone? Just Vin.He's clearly been prepped and has a ton of notes in front of him, but he's so sincere that he's rattling off the human interest sidebar stories like they've changed his life. While never missing a beat from the game, but also never letting the game break the dramatic arc of the sidebar.
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted June 12, 2007 Posted June 12, 2007 This is as bad as it gets, right? Right?

metirish Old-Timey Member Posted June 13, 2007 Posted June 13, 2007 I'm hoping that in a few weeks this little stretch will be a distant memory, did we go through such a stretch last season,I'm sure we did,I know in 05 we lost a bunch of series in a row,but later in the year.A win tonight and things will feel a bit better.
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted June 13, 2007 Posted June 13, 2007 The worst stretch I can remember last season was in late June when the Mets were swept in a humiliating fashion at Fenway and the team seemed to take a while to right themselves.**I looked it up on Ultimate Mets Database. The Mets went 2-7 in a stretch between 6/2406 and 7/3/06. The Mets were outscored 66 - 35 during that tailspin.
